To enable the wifi card you have a button that need to be pressed..
Also the wireless card have to be proper installed and you need to have a network available in the area...(not restricted by password) ..
so ..first look in the front edge and locate the wireless button ..and press it so that the wifi led to blink ....Than click on the wireless connection in the task bar..and open the connection window...In there click on the scan for network in the top left ..and when you find the network by name ..click connect (if you have a permanent router network ...click to connect automatically when it finds it ..)
If you have done all that and still not working ..there is something wrong with the card ..or just need to be installed again cause it has the wrong driver or the driver is damaged..

So ...get in this location ..select teh operation system and download wireless card driver again and reinstall it ..
There are more than one ..driver in this location ..but in fact there are 2 different cards and many variant on the driver..select the type you have ..or just take them all ..and install one by one and se which one will work ..eliminate each one tried by deleting or moving ..so that you can keep track ..of them ..
Check the wireless router and high-speed modem.
If the two are not powered on, or if the Ethernet cable connected the two is not completely inserted into both connection ports, you are unable to access the Internet on the Acer Aspire One laptop computer.
Activate the wireless Internet connection on the laptop computer.
Right-click the wireless icon on the desktop, then choose "Enable" from the pop-up menu.
Without activating the wireless receiver on the Acer Aspire One, the laptop is unable to detect any wireless network.
Select the appropriate network you wish to connect to.
Your computer may be attempting to connect to a different Internet connection, preventing you from access the network you desire. Right-click the wireless icon, select "Search for available wireless networks," then choose the network you want to access.
Restart the computer.
The system may have booted and failed to detect the wireless receiver. Restarting the computer corrects this issue.
hope this helps
