Just got it. Connected to computer to charge. Battery indicator flashes for about a minute then goes blank. Fast start sheet would seem to indicate that means it's fully charged. When I disconnect and turn on low battery msg comes up.

Just the charge indicator goes blank, or the entire screen goes blank? Normally the Sansa shuts off the screen to conserve power. Just touch the scroll wheel or the main button to bring back the screen. Does the battery indicator continue to flash? If so, it's not finished charging.

  • jnkstf783 Jan 23, 2011

hey thx for the quick response. When I first connect the battery indicator flashes for about a minute then goes blank, screen still on. Left it hooked up all day yesterday and while working on the computer every once in a while it would start flashing again for about a minute, then same thing.

When I unhook still get the battery low message. Was connected for about 20 hours. Starting to think I got a bad unit

  • kakima Jan 23, 2011

Either a bad unit, or a bad battery. The e200 series uses a battery also used by some cell phones. You can get to the battery by removing the four screws on the back and opening the unit.

  • jnkstf783 Feb 04, 2011

Once again appreciate the response. Have been away and didn't check this e mail. Have an old computer, usb1 ports. The instructions with the unit don't mention this but the full online manual does. Some older ports don't throw enough juice to charge the battery. Hooked it up to a newer Mac and it charged right up. Got a plug in charger and car charger on Amazon for a grand total of $4.18 delivered so think I'm all set now. Thanks for the help.

Red blinking light

Hi, Ephraim. The flashing red light indicates that the device is showing "low battery". It could be that the LG phone charger fits the charging port on your bluetooth headset but it is not compatible with your device. In order for you to know that it is charging, the device should show a steady red light(means charging).
Please take a look at the table reference below.

My glowbouy flashes green and red...what does this mean

According to the owners manual for these swimming pool lights, this is what each colored indicator means. Hope this helps.

Solid green
The battery pack is fully charged.
Slow flashing green
The battery pack is almost fully charged.
Slow flashing yellow
The battery pack is half charged.
Medium flashing yellow
The battery pack is less than half charged.
Fast flashing yellow
The battery pack has almost no charge.
Fast flashing red
A charging error has occurred and the light should be unplugged and then plugged back in. If the Fast Flashing Red persists after several attempts, the battery condition is questionable.

Also in the trouble shooting guide, it mentions this:

Problem: Red Indicator Light Is Flashing While Charging

Solution:
A red flashing indicator light when charging indicates a selftest
error condition. Unplug the product and plug it in again.
Try this several times; if the indicator light continues to flash
red, unplug the GlowBuoy and take it to an authorized service
depot.
