Intermittent internet disconnection, yet internet is fine

Please check the firmware of your router first. in most of the Wireless router the connection dropping issue is due to old firmware, also try chaning the wireless channel to 9 under the 2.4 GHz network to optimise the Wireless connection.

Connection on again off again in 3 second

Hey ! it seems that there is a problem with the Firmware of the router.
The wireless connection is dropping.
You can try to upgrade the firmware.
Download the firmware from the support web site of the router manufacturer. and upgrade the firmware.
make sure that you will upgrade the firmware using the wired connection to the router NOT with the wireless connection.

Belkin router firmware malfunction

It is recommended to perform a hard reset after updating the firmware of the router. I guess you haven't done it that's why your connection keeps dropping. To hard reset the router, press the reset button at the back of the router for 20 seconds then unplug the power for 30 seconds and plug it back in.

Router gets disconnected

If you know how to open the setup page of the router, look for MTU. Normally it is set to Auto with default size of 1500. Now set it to manual and change the value to 1463 and save the changes. Power cycle the router by unplugging the power for 30 seconds then plug it back in. Observe your connection if it keeps on dropping.

Another is you need to isolate the problem if its the router or the modem. Try to connect your PC directly to your modem and observe if it does the same thing. If it does the same problem, call your Internet Provider to fix the modem.

If the problem still persist on the router after changing the MTU, try to update the Firmware of the router and hard reset it by pressing the reset button for 15 seconds then power cycle it.
