DVD output from video camera is in Black and white

I have a Panasonic DVD recorder DMR-E55PL which I use in the field to record water wells with a video camera attached. The output just started showing in Black and White. However when other DVD's discs are played there is color. I switched the connections to my VHS and the color is fine; this means that the camera is fine.I also tried other input ports and the result is the same. What could it be??

Did you check the device the camera plugs into to see if it could be the problem. The video input might be dropping the color burst signal.

Panasonic DMR-EZ48V. Video is in black and white. No Color. This is brand new.

Go to Menu/Settings and highlight your source --ie. Component, HDMI1, HDMI2 or whatever the source is. Black and White becomes color.

Change the AV settings on the DVD or TV to be the same format. Feeding AV into an AV-S gives B&W

My record change from DMR-E55PL-S (South America model) to DMR-E55P (USA model)

Hi

You can get a special remote controller that has a built in hack that will turn your DMR E55 into a multi region player. In the UK these are available to hire from the following website. You do not need to open your unit, just press a few buttons on the controller.

http://www.multiregionupgrades.co.uk/upgrades/mods/pandiy.htm

Follow the instructions exactly to the letter.

Please note, if you have purchased a new DMR E55, this upgrade may invalidate your guarantee.

Hope this helps
