you have to manual format it by pressing *,3,callbutton smalteneously as you power it up untill you see the word "formating". please note that this will erase all your existing data and restore the unit to factory settings.

just insert the memory card in ur phone and ur memory will automatically recognised... if not then connect your phone with pc (with memory card inserted) then ur accessable to ur memory backup...

Formatting the memory card
When a memory card is formatted, all data on the card are permanently lost.
Some memory cards are supplied pre-formatted and others require formatting.
Consult your retailer to find out if you must format the memory card before you
can use it.
• Select Options→ Format mem. card.
Select Yes to confirm. When formatting is complete, enter a name for the
memory card (max. 11 letters or numbers).

Backing up and restoring information
To back up information from your phone’s memory to the memory card, select
Options→ Backup phone mem.
To restore information from the memory card to the phone’s memory, select
Options→ Restore from card.
You can only back up the phone memory and restore it to the same phone.

Locking the memory card
To set a password to lock your memory card to help prevent unauthorised use,
select Options→ Set password.
You are asked to enter and confirm your password. The password can be up to
eight characters long.

The default master code for nokia is 12345. If you have changed this default one, then go to the following website, enter your IMEI number, and get the unlock code.

first give "restore factory settings" you will asked for the "security code" enter that .. after "restore factory settings" you restart the phone without memory card ...

connect the mobile to pc by using datacable

if you still face the problem after the " restore factory settings" then
you can upgrade the firmware by downloading the "nokia software updater" from the nokia site given below it is free

first you must download that application to pc and then you must the cell to pc and then you can upgrade the firmware of your cell ...

NOTE:never disconnect or power off during the firmware update this willdamage your cell phone completely and after that even if you visit thenokia also they cant help you with that , so while doing that do itcarefully ..
