Hi Himansu,
Regarding the "sim registration failed" problem, just turn your cellphone OFF then take out your SIM. It is like rebooting your modem for connection issues. Insert the SIM after a couple of minutes. If this process does not solve the issue, then there could be an ongoing major upgradation on Airtel.
Thanks!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Never give you phone number out.
Get in touch with Airtel customer service. And just hope not too many people give you prank phone calls, or you get spam texts
Call the Airtel Customer care (Dehli) on one of these numbers:
Direct Customer Care : 198
For Postpaid 9810012345 and
9810198101 for Prepaid.
The best bet is use another working airtel sim card or borrow your friend's phone who is using airtel network.
Tell them your problem and provide them the sim card information like registration information (name, address etc..). They'll tell you the Puk code with the instructions on how to disable it and how to set it.
PUK code is a SIM specific code assigned by your service provider. No way you can guess & enter it. So, when it asks for the PUK code, don’t do anything, get the PUK code from your service provider. Airtel has a easier way of getting PUK code. For getting PUK code of a Airtel number, send PUK<space>PhoneNumber to toll free number 121. You can make use of any other Airtel number to send this message since your SIM might have been blocked already. If the above method doesn’t works or your service provider is not Airtel, call to customer care using any other mobile phone which uses the same service provider.
