From the keypad area press # * C * The machine will enter a diagnostic mode.
Then enter the number 14 as if to make 14 copies. Press start and follow the directions to clear the code.

Hi there, you can get it if you buy a new copier which has inbuilt printer board. If you bought the printer board separately, you can download it from the internet.Please follow these steps:

1. Go to Google.com and open.
2. Type free drivers for sharp Ar 122en.
3. Select your operating system for example Windows xp and click that link on the right.
4. Enter Code from image as shown and click download file.
5. You will see 'Click to download sharpar122en570.zip' click it it and a small window will appear and select whether to save or open. A download window will appear and wait till it completes.
6. You can us or write it to a CD for future use.

To reset maintenance codes requires going into service mode. This should only be done by an authorized trained technician as changing or adjusting something in this mode could create all sorts of problems you dont want to deal with.

You have to reset fuser errors with simulation 14. Push P * C * then 14 then Start (the button you use to make copies) and it should reset the code. If not then replace the fuser.
SM 5-1 should turn the lamp on. If lamp blinks on and off it is the thermistor, if it does not it is the lamp, but check the contacts on the lamp/fuser -- they have been known to erode.
Also check thermal fuse, if defective replace.
