Does your cable modem have wireless internet? If so, you can buy a Netgear wireless usb port adapter for about $20 and use that to connect wirelessly to the internet. Your pc has usb port connections - right? (Usb port looks like a rectangle)

If you don't want to use a wireless connection you can purchase a cable modem with a usb connection for about $65. You run the ethernet cable to the modem and then a usb cable from the modem to your pc.

If you have a serial cable connection on your pc (looks like a round circle with tiny metal pins in it) you can buy a gender changer and convert that to usb (in case you dont have a usb connection or need another one). You can buy one for about $11.

You can buy an I/O Gear bluetooth usb adapter for $13 and pick up the internet via bluetooth by putting it in your usb port but I'm unsure how well it would work with Win 98.

If you have another pc that has an ethernet connection you could use good old fashioned bi directional printer cable and network both computers together. You may need to upgrade to win xp for networking capabilities.

Your Model of digital camera supports usb connectivity.
If your manufacture has provided you USB cable at the time of purchase, You can connect the camera to the PC and transfer your photos easily to the pc.

If your manufacturer has not provided you the USB cable you need to buy the compatible USB cable for PC connectivity from the store.

There is one more alternate option, You can also buy a "Memory card Reader" By using this you can also transfer the photos stored in the memory card to the PC.

I suggest you to use the USB cable.

You will need to connect to the internet service provider (ISP) - you will need to create (aka buy) a dial up account to do it. You also need a modem installed on your computer. You may also buy external USB modems for this purpose.

To share the induvidual internet connection with other pc s you need the following:
1. The pc which owns the internet it need an ethernet connection too.
2. The other pc's which dont have internet connection it needs
ethernet connection too.
3. You need an equipment which connects the internet pc and
other pcs. It called Ethernet switch.

Linksys company has a good product, which can connect 4 pc together, called linksys Wrtg54gl. It not only a small switch
it also has the capability to connect wifi devices.
Buy this router connect the pc-s to thos router with ethernet switch. You need to set up ip addresses for the pc-s.
The whole procedure is well written in the Linksys admin manual.

If you need to connect more than 4 pc it requires a new solution.
If all pc are connected with ethernet together, you need another solution.

there are many ways to do it ;

1) you can buy a USB card reader and by connecting that to pc by inserting the microsd card in to the card reader you can transfer the data to the memory card from pc ..

2) if your cell phone supports data cable connectivity then you can buy a data cable which is compatible for your handset and connect it to the pc and transfer the data ..

3) if your cell phone supports the bluetooth then you can buy a bluetooth dongle and connect it to the pc and transfer the data ..

Returning the computer to Gateway is the most reliable option, but unless you have the premium grade warranty this will be expensive.
You can buy a replacement from Best buy, but if it is for a laptop I would recommend either an external modem or a PCMCIA modem. Opening up a laptop is a job for an expert. If you have a desktop/tower PC then you can buy an external or an internal Modem, Only but the Internal modem if you feel confident about opening up the PC. The external modem is the safest to buy. You will need to check what connections you have on the back of your PC either a serial connector or nowadays a USB connection. Make sure the modem you buy is appropriate to the service you use e.g. dial up or DSL. The assistant in Best Buy should be able to help you with that.
