Akai tv wont come back on

Check the power source?Yes.Try tv unplug,replug it back an hour later.The tv now resetting it back to factory setting.The tv should work now.Not,than the power supply board is dead.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacemrnt.

I have a akai tv, the tv went out but won't come back on. i'm still getting a red light but the tv just beep when I press the power button.

Symptoms of a Defective or dying Power supplies on LCD TVs.
1. Light(s) on the front panel are behaving not normal example, blinking, amber color or not steady, fainting, etc.
2. TV not turning ON properly.
3. TV turns OFF by itself.
4. Needs to be unplug to many times to make it work.
5. Humming or high pitch noise heard through speakers or at the back of the TV.

The power supply most likely failed on your LCD.
How old is your LCD?

Replace operator/control panel, or clean the board and replace all the switches on it. The tact switches get flakey and cause a multitude of problems.

If you're using a DVD player or other component using the Component cable hookup, try unplugging that from the mix, unplug the power cord for the TV from the wall and wait 15 seconds and plug it back in, then power the TV back on. Mine used to do this and I gave up on the component cable option and went back to composite (RCA).

Same thing for me. TV just turned off one day and won't come back on. LED flashes red. Someone said it's because a cooling fan went out. If I can't find someone to fix it I'll take it apart and tinker myself. 32" with dvd built in was barely over a year old.

Sounds to me like something blew inside and you may need to get service. By the way, I need a manual for the Akai LCT701AD. Do you happen to have one in PDF. If anyone reading this has this manual or user guide, would you kindly email it to me at [email protected] . Appreciate assistance.
