There isn't special driver for CTK-5000 in WinXP or Mac OSX. This is pnp device thru MIDI application or CASIO Data Manager 5.0 (http://support.casio.com/download.php?rgn=&cid=008&pid=342) for WinXP, Vista, Win7.

Make sure the driver is compatible with your operating system... often stuff will not work with Vista for example. Often SOME software REQUIRES it to be installed before USB cable is connected, and yet other requires it not be connected till software is installed... read the manual...

How can I record my songs to my tablet or my laptop

The best way is to use the USB output from the Fostex. Connect the USB cable from the Fostex to the USB input of the notebook. A Windows computer should show a USB Audio Device in the device manager. If not, you'll have to get a driver from Fostex and install that. But it should just work, it did in my Vista notebook. Then simply get any number of recording software packages (Windows 8 may have a built-in app). I've used Cool Edit and Reason 4 for recording and editing. You should not record the songs using the notebook's microphone input because (1) the analog noise of a recording generated by the notebook's A-D converter is horrible, and (2) you'll have level and impedance matching problems, even after purchasing something like a pair of Bogen WMT1A line matching transformers. Once you've got it recorded, put it in the cloud and download it onto your tablet. I don't think tablets have USB ports, but maybe yours does.

Factory reset

I don't think it's possible to reset a Faderport in the traditional sense since the firmware is not an EPROM (Electrostatic-Programmable-Read-Only-Memory).

I think it's more likely that the driver on your PC or Mac has become corrupted and needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled.

To do this, we'll need to know more about your platform, especially the DAW. Are you using Studio One v2 or v3?

Corrupt data

PX 410r uses IDES 4.0 downloadable from
http://www.casio-europe.com/euro/emi/specials/ides/downloads/
and not another version.

I suggest you uninstall the Casio USB driver from Control Panel'system'device manager then Reboot the PC without the USB cable.
Download latest USB driver from :-
http://support.casio.com/en/support/download.php?cid=008&pid=20
64 or 32 bits versions are both available.
Load driver first. Plug in the usb cable only when software tells you to do so.
Uninstall Data manager if wrong version.
Install IDES 4.0

CTK810 smf converter fow windows 7

You need to get latest USB driver for Windows 7 (both 32bits and 64 bits available) at:

http://support.casio.com/en/support/download.php?cid=008&pid=20

I think the SMF converter though is a 32 bits application will work on windows 7 provided the correct USB driver has been installed.

I am trying to record from xenyx 2442fx to audacity. I am not sure how. I think it has something to do with usb, but do not know how to connect the mixer to the computer to get a good sound. Please help.

First, connect the USB audio interface which came with the Xenyx to a USB port on the PC. Then connect the TAPE OUT from the Xenyx to the IN of the USB audio interface. And connect the OUT of the USB audio interface to the TAPE IN of the Xenyx. You should now be able to record from any of the Xenyx channels. To listen back, engage the control room button which reads CD/TAPE. Contact me if you need any clarification.

I was trying to transfer data from the RC-50 to my computer and pulled out the USB cable by mistake from the computer and now the RC-50 says Data Damaged. I think I may have put the file in the trash in...

Usually in any type of situation when data is being transferred and the connection is prematurely lost there is data lost and or file corruption.

My suggestion:

Connect the Boss Rc 50 to your computer and backup its entire contents to your computer if possible.

Next perform a Hard Reset: While simultaneously holding down the "PLAY MODE" and "LOOP SYNC" buttons, turn the power on. Everything should be restored to factory settings.

If your backup was successful, then you can transfer desired files (one at time) to determine if the are usable. If a file causes errors or malfunction, then most likely it is corrupt.

Hope this helps

How to connect psr-3000 to computer

You can connect it with USB connection to your computer. It should be plug and play, but some drivers might be required.
You can connect it also via MIDI interface: - you will need sound-card with MIDI input connector, or you can use special MIDI device like M-Audio UNO.
