Hi
Dont worry this is a common problem with this phone which can be resolved . As far as hard reset is concernerd if you fear for loosing data make a backup on your system.
Anyways a new software update is available which should sort out this issue without a hard reset
Old Version: ROM 2.13.666.0 Radio Version: 1.37.00 New Version: ROM 2.13.666.1 Radio Version: 1.37.30 To Confirm: Tap Start>>Settings>>System>>Device Information
Download Sites (http://selfserve.int.bell.ca/kb/Dev...tructions.d oc) Ut Starcom Website Link for Bell HTC 6800 Patch (http://www.utstarcom.com/pcd/phone_...Bell%20Mobility) ( can download here directly)
This should help and do let me know about it so that if there is any more update i can keep you informed
PPCKitchen will help you build a complete Operating System, you can base it on verizon there, many precautions need to be taken to Flash a phone with a different rom, i suggest http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=33857&highlight=Titan+PPCKitchen+guide
Hold down the right and left soft key while pressing the hard reset button at the bottom of the phone.. then it will ask you do you want to master reset the phone .. click yes and it will rest ... the only problem with this is that it will delete all of your info. on the phone.. ring tone and # and even pic's and video's.
Okay take out battery and put phone on charger .. then try a hard reset . and then go to a soft reset. after that put battery back on and soft retset and see if it works .
Looks to me like it's the verizon 6800. Go to www.htc.com/us and follow to the 6800 and download the software by phone and carrier. There is no software for any of the phones on the standard HTC site and the 6800 is not listed on it.
