You can use DVD copy software to copy DVD from physical to digital. Leawo DVD Copy is a powerful DVD backup tool for people to back up their DVD contents with ease. It's capable of backing up DVD disc, folder and ISO image files. It can remove DVD disc protection thus allowing you to back up whatever disc you like freely. You can use it to back up your DVD disc to either your hard drive or a blank disc or directly copy ISO image file to a blank DVD disc.

You will need some software to burn the VOB files.

Try 'DVD Santa' or 'DVD Shrink'.

Copy dvd to laptop

Insert the DVD, find it in Windows Explorer, left click on the files you want to copy, right click and select "copy", then left click on where you want to copy to and right click again and select "paste". This will work unless the DVD is copyprotected by the creator.

You will have to copy your DVD in two steps. First copy to the hard drive, then remove the source DVD and copy again using the hard drive as the source and a blank DVD as the destination.

How do i burn dvds if i dont have 2 dvd ''racks''

by 'racks' i presume you mean dvd trays....and by burn dvds you means copy from one dvd to another....
if this is the case you copy the first dvd to your hard disk, swap the original for a blank dvd, then burn the image.

to be more specific I would need to know the software you are trying to use

Please insert a disk into drive

You can only copy files to a blank disk by using programs like NERO or by using a re-writeable disk like DVD-RW which you can format and use it like a hard drive. You need also burner not an ordinary DVD or CD player.

Errors burning to 1x to 16x DVD-R

I have had much luck recording on off brand 16X discs as follows:

1) Record a "dummy" program on the hard drive, need only about 15 or 20 seconds.

2) Put a blank disk in drive, and COPY that dummy program to disk. Do not finalize.

3) After a minute or so, window will come up and say "Cannot
complete copy."

4) Now while above window on screen, click HOME MENU, COPY, New program list, Select your movie/program to copy, go ahead and finalize, and START.

5) Think you'll find this is successful, however there might be some brands of blank disks that won't work.

6)Let me know if it works for ya. [email protected]

Coping dvds ,cds

If you are copying a DVD to another blank DVD, just put the original DVD inside > open Nero > click Copy disk > then the copy dialog box window will appear. > Just select your favourite speed ( [8x] medium speed recommended) and click Burn. If you are copying a DVD to your hard disk, just put your DVD on the drive, Open My computer > right click DVD drive icon and click open > Then select the appropriate file or folder to copy > right click it select copy > close the window. Now open My computer > open disk drive [may be D: or E:and so on... ] > right click and select paste. Now the file will be copied to your disk.
