This is one of the common connectivity issues marring the benefits of having a wireless printer. In this situation your printer will not print when connected wirelessly but would need you to set it up with your system using a USB cable. Sounds like it lost connection to the wireless router. I believe the manual calls for unplugging the unit for 2-3 minutes and then plugging it back in and powering up. The unit should reset and the blue wireless button should be back on. I would go to the task bar and pull up the printer and highlight any jobs still listed an cancel any print jobs still in the que and then try to print again.

I work on printers daily and if I can make suggestion. The printhead (ink cartridges) are cleaned or wiped off before printing. Normally on the left of most printer at a cleaning station. You dont say what model you do have. but the rubber wipers accumalate the ink that the clean off the printhead and when they get too dirty thery generally dont clean the printhead as well as they should so they smear ink across the printouts. A wet paper towel to clean the rubber wipers, let it dry a bit then turn it back on and try it again. Good Luck!

SOURCE: printer says-

Remove the Cartridge.
Clean the Electrical ( golden ) contacts using lint free cloth.
Clean the Contacts inside the Cartridge slot.
Put then back in the Printer and follow the instructions on the Printer Screen.
If this does not resolve.. Contact HP Support if you are using Genuine HP Cartridge for more Help.

Is this printer new? If so make sure the little plastic tabs are pulled off of the ink cartridges Located at the bottom covering the jets. This will stop the printing. Hope this helps Merry Christmas and happy new year.

The printer will print ok in color, but will not print black ink. No copy or printing.

My best guess without knowing more is that your printer has both a color print cartridge and a black ink print cartirdge. Replace the black ink cartridge and you should be fine. You might also find that replacing the entire printer is less expensive....All the best!

go into the printer and do a test print. start>printer & faxes>right click on the printer in question>properties>printer preference button> test print ... try the printer's own test print. This is usually caused by a poor print head, low ink, poor cartridge or the need for calibration. Look in the maintenance tab in the printer properties for head cleaner, jet cleaner etc. This also happens with refill ink cartridges.

WILL NOT COPY

Dear, after changing the cartridge, printer print a test print. OKAY. Take that test print and put it on the scanner (printed area should on the side of mirror) then press "scan" button on your printer "bottom left". When the light stop fluctuating. Keep out the paper from the scanner. After this Printer will work properly
