This is one of the common connectivity issues marring the benefits of having a wireless printer. In this situation your printer will not print when connected wirelessly but would need you to set it up with your system using a USB cable. Try resetting the IP of your system to what is mentioned in the printer and in case there is a router connecting your printer and system then use the IP address of router and put it in your system. This should help you fix this printer issue. get more information for wireless printer problems .
Sounds like it lost connection to the wireless router. I believe the manual calls for unplugging the unit for 2-3 minutes and then plugging it back in and powering up. The unit should reset and the blue wireless button should be back on. I would go to the task bar and pull up the printer and highlight any jobs still listed an cancel any print jobs still in the que and then try to print again.

I work on printers daily and if I can make suggestion. The printhead (ink cartridges) are cleaned or wiped off before printing. Normally on the left of most printer at a cleaning station. You dont say what model you do have. but the rubber wipers accumalate the ink that the clean off the printhead and when they get too dirty thery generally dont clean the printhead as well as they should so they smear ink across the printouts. A wet paper towel to clean the rubber wipers, let it dry a bit then turn it back on and try it again. Good Luck!
