You can't navigate the DVD menu, without a remote control.

No universal remote can be setup with any of Blu-Ray players.

Take it to a Best Buy store and ask a Blue shirt in the portable DVD department if they have a Dynex remote for the model you have. If they do, you can use the remote to unlock your player and be able to use it. They won't be able to sell/give you the remote, but they should be able to assist you.

In the book with the new remote will be all the codes for a bunch of different brands. Try all the codes under your brands selection. If non of them work, atleast you tried. You can always return the remote.
