KDP-65WS550 model does not have any "G Board", below image shows board names and location inside this tv, however, there is "G2 board".

    9 times red light blinking indicates Zero Crossing Detector problem in tv and D6116 or D6114 diodes could be open/ defective on A board.

    D6114 part number is 650056721 ... DIODE 10ERB20-TB5
    D6116 part number is 871908197 ... DIODE MMDL914T1

I don't know what else have you done with your TV. Yet, from the number of blinking code, I do understand that its video out board has the trouble. But, before going forward with you I want to know whether you are aware in electronics and have some experience in serivce TVs, and can follow the schematic diagrams, if I send it to you. If you aren't aware in electronics and cannot follow the circuit diagram of this set, there is no use of going forward. If you are confident, inform me. I'm ready to assist you. OK.

Go into Setup menu and look for speaker settings, make sure "speakers ON" is selected. If you still have a problem, post makes and models of any connected equipment. Hope this helps

COUNT THE NUMBER OF RED BLINKS THE TV SHOULD BLINK THEN PAUSE AND BLINK AGAIN. THE NUMBER OF BLINKS WILL INDICATE A POSSIBLE FAILURE.

3 times, Diagnosis: +B overvoltage (OVP). Possible causes: IC501 is faulty (G board), IC5002 is faulty (G board). Symptoms of the problem: TV has entered standby mode. got this off a website that had Sony codes listed.

Convergence on kdp-65ws550
youre looking at about 300.00 for that board if its still available as the entire D board need to be replaced if you go that route. Go to this link as they can get you a prive on a new board or they also sell just the parts and provide free instructions on how to replace the Ics and resistors in the convergence section. heres the link, leave them an email with your model number and what your looking for.
