Prints offset OS\Vista Printer has suddenly started to print photos off centre,a print will have a border on 3 sides(Twice the normal border width),and borderless on the 4th.Which edge is borderless will depend on what driver is loaded (98-Xp-Vista) Any suggestion please?

First use a photo processing programme (like say Photoshop or PS Elements - or if you have not got that (can be expensive) get the free Faststone Image Viewer and size the image to twice the paper size you want, then use the crop tool to select half the image and save that as a file with a name where you can find it again. Do the same with the other half. You will now have two files, each half of the paper size. As they will have small borders, print and trim the borders, so you can then mount side by side to achieve what you want. I would advise to NOT try and print without borders - that can introduce other problems - just accept having to trim the small borders from normal printing.

from the brief posting I've gotta ask what OS? windows - XP Vista, 7, Linux, OSx?

if windows do you have the right drivers installed (have you done a driver update search - go control panel -> system -> hardware manager -> select printer -> right mouse click and then properties find an option to allow the updating of the drivers from the net ), do you somehow have a default for photo prints setup somewhere and so the print goes to a NULL printer?

Know I may seem sketchy but without more details of your OS it's a bit hard.

Have you googled for HP 2610 photo prints not printing for XYZ OS?
maybe someone else has had this issue, lastly gone to HP to seach their?

What has wrong is the toner cartridge holder has jumped a tooth and thats what is causing it. It is a easy fix but very hard to tell you over fixya. Steven 818-888-0006

see if you can set the printer preferences to borderless printing.

Also had ongoing problem of paper jams printing PDF files, but not when printing any other files. Solved both problems by uninstalling and reinstalling printer driver.

This could be from the image you are printing. If you are printing from a computer or memory card, the dpi (dots per inch) may be higher than some.Standard printing is typically 400dpi, and you can change the settings on your computer or the printer directly. Memory cards and some photos from your computer may be 600dpi and will likely take much longer to print since there is more "color information" that it is trying to fill.

Your expert patiently talked me through several possibilities. Finally, in the print set-up window, I clicked on Properties in the upper right and made all my printing choices there. I still got a border, even though I didn't want one, but it was all the way around the photo...not on two sides, and the photo was not chopped off.

well this could be caused by a couple of things that i know about.

1: there is a line of dirton the drum, which may need to be cleaned to clear it.

2: there is a shadow set up when it prints now.

that's a scaling issue from the application you're using. the printer is not the situation?
