I've got a problem I hope you can help me with. I have the above AM/FM Compact Disc Player that came with my boat and and later had installed a Memphis Audio amp and speakers. The system has two remotes, one at the helm and the other at the stern.
Everything has been fine with the system -- which is 3 yr old -- until this weekend. I cannot change the radio station -- its stuck on country and it the volume cannot be adjusted -- its stuck about half volume. I tried resetting the unit several times and have had no success. I need your help.
I called the outfit who installed the Memphis Audio amp and speakers and they felt the system was likely shot and they suggested installing a Clarion M 475 and I would need to also replace the two remotes -- and it added up very quickly! Hopefully you can help.

Also use Verbatim Pastel brand, because the player recognizes these
discs easier. Also, it wouldn't hurt for you to run a commercial disc
laser cleaner through this thing to clean the optical lens. Burn music
using Nero software because its
easy and the best.

I called my Cobalt boat dealer and they did a pretty to talk to them about it and they did a pretty amazing thing....they drove out to my lake house (140 miles round trip) this weekend and installed a new and upgraded radio at no charge!!
I am wondering if in this case it was a remote problem since the new radio works just fine -- or it was in fact the problem and they fixed it and I got a new radio anyway?? I'll call him and see what he says. I'll let you know.
In the meantime, I really appreicate your effort
