Still not reset. Hold the reset till it cycles. A simple push only restarts it. You have to hold it in while power is on.

Before contacting Belkin to obtain a replacement of the unit, I'd suggest attempting to locate a different AC adapter for your router.
You never know, it may be bad and your router could be fine.
If you can't locate one, or the one you found didn't work, contact Belkin for a replacement.

Reset it!

The unit maybe faulty. Connecting different power plugs (adapters) may cause the Belkin to fail if the power adapters are not the correct voltage and polarity.

* try connecting ur belkin router to different power socket * try with different power adapter * or else press the reset key for more than 1 min while holding the reset unplug the router power cable and plug it back again 3 times.--- while holding the reset u shouldnt release the reset while u unplug and replug. the interval between each unplug and replug should be 15 seconds. * then release the reset then unplug the power cable and plug it back * it has to work or else replace it with the belkin tech support

when you insert your adapter in the computer do you get found new hardware balloon if not then try with a different computer if still doesn`t then your adapter has gone faulty.if you do get the balloon then i would suggest you to install the adapter with latest driver.take care.

It is a PRE-N router, which means:

When you see a “pre-n” product, it is one designed based on the future “n.”
standard, but is not a standard. It will generally only work with that companies devices, which means if you buy brand XYZ’s wireless router, you will also need to buy brand XYZ’s wireless networking adapters for all of your computers.
Interoperability between pre-n and non pre-n devices can be difficult and even if you get it to work, you don’t gain anything unless everything is pre-n.

Which Belkin device?
A two-port Kvm (Keyboard/Video/Mouse) switcher?
A Belkin PCMCIA card?
A Belkin USB adapter?
A Belkin router?

1. Try plugging the router to a different power outlet.
2. Reset the router.
3. Check the power adapter specification of your router and if you have another power adapter that has the same specification then try that power adapter to your router.
4. If using another power adapter and your router will not power on still, it is possible that your router is faulty already.

For your connection to reach 300 MBps, not only must your Belkin WiFi USB adapter be an N, so must your Access Point/Router also be N capable.  Additionally, your Internet/DSL connection would also be a limiting factor on your Internet Connection speed.
