We've tried 1,2,3,4, and #6 (?) the power button on front panel (information site for rider) is not receiving power to illuminate the site or accept commands. Where is the (#5) 'safety device' on the Nautilus 2000? and ...'continued" (?) what else was I supposed to receive?

A few ideas behind your power problem

    1. Try a different AC power outlet without the use of a surge protector

    2. Check the home circuit breakers to ensure they are powered on

    3. Check the power cable for obvious breakage, fray, damage of any type

    4. Check both ends of the power source cable for proper integrity

    5. Check on the lower and front or rear portion of the unit for a cut off switch (power)

    6. Most of these bikes have a safety device which must be inserted to ensure that your unit powers on. Without this being done, it will appear as if the unit is not receiving power

    13. If you still have not recieved power, we will continue to troubleshoot the internal portions of the bike.

We will now run diagnostics on the main display. Please look under the head portion of the display to locate several star head embedded machine screws which will need to be removed. They may be covered by factory placed stickers. Ensure to REMOVE power before attempting manual diagnostics.

The readout on my NR1000 does not work, I have repalced the battries.

Welcome to FixYa.

There are only two things that we can do to the readout/computer problem of the NR 1000.
1. Make sure that the batteries has power. 2. Turn it on then press and hold the reset button for 5 to 10 seconds.

If it does not resolve the problem, the device has a mechanical error and servicing it is the best way.

Thank you for using Fixya. Have a great day.

Power chord problem

(1) Does the machine work with the cord plugged, if so it is the battery or the charger circuit at fault

(2) If it does not work then there is either a break in the cable where it enters the plug which plugs into the back of the laptop or the power supply has failed

Engine cuts out

It sounds like something is preventing the bike from getting fuel. Check fuel filter, fuel tank vent, air filter too. If you have vacuum building up in the tank, letting the bike sit for a few minutes slowly releases that vacuum allowing the pump to pull fuel easily again for a bit. Next time the bike quits open your fuel tank. If you hear a whoosh of air being sucked in look for a plugged vent line. A plugged air filter can have a similar effect but the only way to check that is change the air filter or look at the one you have. It would have to be really, really dirty or plugged with some debris to cause this problem.
