My black and decker toaster oven (model TRO200) is equiped to fit on counter top or as a space-saver under cabinet model. It was given to me as slightly used and I never had the appropriate bracket to attach to the base of my cabinet. Is it possible to find such a bracket? Is it even recommended to use the oven in this manner"

Ah... the ease of cleaning the counters...
Not really all that much more space... but it felt that way.

Its worth it if you love it... (I did... & I'm the cook)... but my wife has a much better eye for style & lines...
(brains for access & efficiency... (did I say I cook))...

When I had my "SPACE-SAVERS" I loved them...

but when the boss "TIRED" of the Dark Oak & white enamel

"WE" had a meeting of the minds
("yes... dear" (happy life/wife (& loving it))...

They are ALL GONE ... & FORGOTTEN.

True SPACE saving is had with pull-out shelves...
(lots of them (place for everything & everything in its place).

No kneeling to pull everything out to get that LEFT-HANDED POTATO ricer... behind the stainless thermos & the Roy Rogers
lunch box... behind the musical beer steins & engraved champagne flutes... You wouldn't believe the inside corner cabinet TREASURES... (not seen since 1973)

Comment me back & I'll consult on an exercise program to make up for not pulling out EVERYTHING from a cabinet... 27 reps
of lying on your belly... jumping up & washing a SANGRIA cooling pitcher... (did I mention the fondue pots (sterno stand...?)).

Now if I want a VIRGIN crock pot, deep fryer or pressure cooker...
voila... just pull the correct shelf... BOOM!

So... In summary I would lay in wait at eBay... for a donor...

They advertise the ability to replace heating elements of all types & shapes to get you back in service...

Truth be known... unless you already have every crepe pan... & pasta pot hanging from a RACK... if you put in shelves..
So all those BACK CABINET treasures are immediately at your (un-kneeling) finger-tips... you are headed for nirvana... (BLISS).

Try the following site: http://useandcaremanuals.com/SearchManuals.aspx?SiteID=4 . Then scroll down or use the Find feature of your browser (under Edit). You want the manual for the TRO200 and TRO300 series toaster ovens for the TRO355. If you have a different model which seems likely (since the TRO300 series aren't convection models), scroll through the list for one that matches the TRO and either the whole model number or the first digit or two. (Usually the model number is on the back of the toaster oven on a plaque with the serial number.)

B & D toaster ovens are not meant to be repaired because the lawyers told them there is too much risk. They won't sell you or distributors spare parts.

You probably have a switch in the oven that has failed or a broken wire. These are basically the only reason it wont come on. The best bet is if it is old buy a new one or see how much it would cost to repair. Usually the cost to repair is almost as much as the cost of a new one and getting parts can sometimes take two or more weeks.

its not repairable at any price . you have a bad thermostat , its soooooo common with this oven . asprie who makes this oven in china, then inports it with black & deckers name on it . has not made any parts for it , not even a wire shelf or a knob .....when something happens to it , you toss it in the trash .....
