Am considering buying a used Singer Featherweight 132q. Have been trying to find any problems that this model may have but have not been able to find anything, Please help.
I've been sewing for over 30 years,, my suggestion is,, let them sew on the machine so you can watch,, & even ask to sew yourself,,, let them show you what the machine can do.. they should be willing to demonstrate the stitches & anything else the machine can do.. ask questions like has the machine got any problems,, has it been resently been serviced,, does it have a operation manual with it,, has it been well taken care of? are there any scratches on it? are there any burrs around the needle plate,, use your fingers to rub over the needle plate to see if it's smooth or not,, even check the small area in the needle plate where the needle goes down to meet the bobbin... have they ever broke a needle sewing? that can cause the machine to go out of time..
good luck
