Vx2000 I have a viewsonic vx2000 monitor and works fine for about 20-30 min. After that, the monitor goes completely either white or green. When i move my mouse I can see a vertical line move where my arrow would be. All I have to do is turn it off then immediately back on and it works fine for another 10 min or so. Any suggestions?!?! thanks in advance

This is most likely a problem of bad electrolytic capacitors. New capacitors must be soldered in. Visit http://badcaps.net/ for more information. Before doing any of that though, check if it is still under warranty. Here is viewsonic's warranty information. http://www.viewsonic.com/support/warranty.htm

VS10162 back screen

The reason I ask you to hook up the viewsonic directly to the PC is to find out if the problem is in the USB adapter or in the monitor itself, you can also try your Viewsonic with other computer.
Basically just have the PC, VIEWSONIC, NO USB or the monitor. We need to narrow down the problem.

I have a Viewsonic VX2245wm or VS11349, Works and then it goes black for 2 to 4 sec then runs for 10 to 15 min and goes black

Look at the power supply section for bad caps first, see example of failed VIEWSONIC monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

Post back what you see inside, it can also be caused by bad inverter circuits or bad lamps.

Screen goes white after 12 seconds

Per the first hit on Google for 'viewsonic fades white', http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html;jsessionid=A68BB7FE4AF6EC93EB730E8588C865A2?topicId=4064461903&sid=1
(which you should go on and read in another tab,) you need to contact Viewsonic about an inverter board (for the CCFL backlight) or switching your backlight to LED while spoofing the INVERTER_OK signal to keep the display from giving up as it does.

So...this should be a hint that you should respect others' time (or be moved to increase usability) better by searching for cures in similar Viewsonic monitors, and of course checking the obvious search terms.  Viewsonic evidently has a nifty knowledge base available for all on the web, so that one would be a nifty surprise.

Power dies when video signal applied

I fixed this problem by replacing all the electrolytics 1000uF and 1500uF on the power supply/inverter board. All were either bulging or had burst at the bottom rubber seal. This cleared up all problems and I am using this monitor successfully at this very moment.
