What hard drive is compatable with an acer laptop travelmate 2200 series model lw80?

Maybe if you can format the disk-but you loose data, maybe there is a program that can do it, probably in linux, or bootable itself, maybe ask acer for master password or something, if you still own original laptop and it runs then try to remove disk encryption while the hdd is accessible with laptop (i think its in bios), otherwise the hdd may be unusable to prevent data theft. you can plug any sata hdd into any sata device if you can hook all the cables, no compatibility issues there. try googling and youtubing for more answers

You need to post what kind of driver (video - sound - LAN...) for someone to help you. Or just go to ACER support and choose. gl

The best thing to do is go to ebay and type in lw80 100gb hard drive. About any laptop harddrive is compatible.

This computer support a hard drive that has IDE ATA100 interface and its standard HDD installed is a 30GB but you can go higher.

You can buy that to the acer center or you may browse the manufacturer website and search your laptop model. Or you may buy that in ebay go to www.ebay.com
search your laptop model and the battery compatibility.

Note: the recovery process helps you restore the C: drive with the original software content that is installed when you purchase your notebook.

You can try ALT+F10 or CTRL+F10 during the initial boot cycle. This should prompt the laptop to access the recovery partition on the hard drive.

If it doesn't work :

Activate BIOS Setup Utility, press <F2> during POST.

Check the BIOS settings.

a Check to see if "Acer disc-to-disc" function is enabled or not.
b Make sure the [Acer D2D Recovery] setting in [Main] is
[Enabled].
c Exit the BIOS Setup Utility and save changes. The system will
reboot.

This link will show how to remove the keyboard but i must stress I DO NOT RECOMMEND this inless you are experienced. There is a lot of stuff that can go wrong. So please be careful. And no more soda around the computer huh :}

Your particular model of laptop will allow up to 2GB of memory. Each memory slot can hold DDR PC2700 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.
As for the hard drive, I believe the standard 2.5" drive is compatible in any size you'd prefer.
