new generation cameras usually do not require a driver, it will directly show on my computer as camera found in vista, check your cable if you get error message usb device not recognised

Powershot s40 drivers for windows 7

Hi,
There in no need to download driver explicitly, As driver comes inbuilt with your Window 7 operating system, you need to connect your device (Camera) with the computer through data cable and just need to follow the instructions.

Impossible download photos

I ran into the same problem with my printer. If you go to the cannon website you should be able to download a plug in to your computer that will update everything so that you are able to download photos
