Here are some DIY steps that may help you fixing the problem.

  1. Check the power cord - check the cord it might be opened (no continuity).
  2. Check the internal fuse - sometimes the fuse fail by itself due to power surge, replacing with new one cure the problem. However if the fuse blew again then this is an indication that you have a shorted parts on the power supply. If no reaction and still the unit didn't power up then you have an open parts on the power supply.

The next steps should be done by an expert or qualified technician because isolating the problem on the regulator section is technical.


But first check if the unit is under warranty then avail it because the manufacturer will fix it for you for free or a little charge only.

** TV won't turn on.** No picture or sound. Please Help !
If the red light won't come on it is not getting power.First,try plugging it in to a different outlet,or unplug one of the gadgets you know is working and plug the tv in there.You are simply switching.If you know that there is power coming from the outlet and it still won't come on then you'll have to check the cord;don't go much farther than that without expert help.

I have a Toshiba 26AV502R tv, was working yesterday and now it won't turn on? It's about a year old. What do I do to fix this?
the only thing you can try to do: unplug TV, let it "reset" for a minute or so, then plug it back in. If that won't help, means: surrender to repair service. for 1 year, even with 24/7 usage, there is a slim chance for "bloated" capacitors inside of TV's power supply, but quite a good chance of your main board failure. Now a days they quite compact, packed with high temperature producing IC chips, led-free solder, which has drawback of "fatigue" failure. Or, there might be power surge involved. In any case, except "lock up", appeal to TV repair service.

Hello,

The power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors.These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable,and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.


Hope this will help in solving the problem, do take in handling the fault, because it contains high voltage..

I have a Mitsubishi WS-55909 projection TV. There was a power outage and when the power came back on, the TV won.t turn back on again. There is this light (Timer) that keeps on blinking on the front panel...
Unplug,replug the tv back like 24 hrs later.That the whole tv is resetting itself everythings.Tv now should be working again.If still have the same problems,than ur tv DM power supply board is have dying parts,must repair the tv DM power supply board to fix the tv.

Hi, there must be something wrong in the power supply circuit, usually because of bad or off value components, if the TV actually gets a picture and cutts off, the power supply could be the circuit to suspect, if the tv does not give a picture, it only does the click and the power light turns on but nothing else happens, there could be something else wrong besides the power supply circuit.
