Push the card cover with your nail inside, then it will come out itself, and you can take off the card from your camera.

If this useful, RATE please !

Need to know how and where to insert sd card

There are usually 2 places that an sd-card can be inserted in a digital camera - Inside near the battery under the door, or a separate flap on the bottom of the camera labeled SD.
  • If there isn't a slot specifically for an SD-card on the bottom of your camera, open the battery door.
Try and locate a very thin rectangular ****. Once you have found the slot, take your sd card and push it inside the slot until you hear a click, that means it's securely in place.

My Dad, 91years old, received a Kodak Easyshare model z1285 from a friend for christmas. no manual. He lives 400 miles away and called to ask if I knew where the SD card goes. Since I can't see the camera...

The door to access the SD card slot is on end of the camera which is closest to the round knob on the top of the camera.

If you turn the camera on end and look at the door, it has small groove in it that is about an inch long. Holding your camera in your left hand with the lens toward your palm, take your finger nail of your right fore finger and slide the door toward the back of the camera.

The door will swing open, revealing the slot for the SD card. When you get the camera, there may be a "dummy" plastic SD card in the slot. Release it by gently pressing the edge of the SD card and quickly releasing it. The card should pop up about a half inch and you can grab it with your fingers and pull it out.

Replace it with a fresh SD card, making certain that it is oriented with the label facing the back of the camera and the contacts facing the front of the camera. Gently push it into the slot until it seats. Don't force it. The card should go in with a little resistance, but does not require a lot of force to seat. Pressing it too hard will cause it to pop back out again.

If it doesn't seat properly, the card may be flipped the wrong way. The card should go into the slot contacts edge first, contacts facing the front of the camera and the label facing the back of the camera.

I hope this helps,

My Canon Powershot A560 memory card is locked and it is the camera doing it not the memory stick. When I turn on my camera I get an error message"memory card error" then when i press to view pictures it...

1

Turn the Canon Powershot A560 over so the bottom is facing up.
2

Locate the door on the bottom of the camera. The door is labeled "CARD/BATT. OPEN."

3

Place your thumb on the slider on the door. Push the slider up to unlock the door. Then, slide the door out to open it.
4

Find the SD card. Inside you will see four batteries and the tip of a small plastic disc. This plastic disc is the SD card.
5

Eject the sd digital memory card. To eject the card, gently push on it and then release the pressure. The SD card will pop out part way. Go ahead and pull out the card.
6

Turn the card so the writing is right-side up. On either the left or right side of the card, you will see a grove with a tiny plastic switch in it. If the switch is at the bottom of the groove, the SD card is locked.
7

Unlock the SD card. Using a fingernail, slide the switch to the top of the groove. The card is now unlocked.
8

Return the SD card to the camera. Place the card in the slot and push down until you hear a click. The card is now successfully reinstalled. Do not worry about inserting the card the wrong way, because it will only fit one way.

What does no card mean? Thank you.

"No card" means that either
  1. You have not inserted a memory card
  2. The memory card is not formatted, or
  3. The memory card is damaged and therefore can't be read by the camera.
How to insert the memory card:
  1. Open the camera’s battery door by sliding it downwards.
  2. Insert the SD card into the slot as shown inside the camera’s battery compartment. The SD card can only be inserted one way.
  3. Press the SD card completely into the camera and then close the door. Open the door and press on the memory card if you wish to remove it.
Note: There is only one way to insert the SD memory card into the slot. Do not force the card into the slot. This may damage both the camera and the SD memory card.

Before you can use the card, it has to be formatted:
  1. Insert the memory card into your camera as described above.
  2. Turn the camera on by pressing the power button.
  3. Use the multi-select button to select the "SET" option.
  4. Press the right arrow button to set "System" then press down key to select "Format".
  5. The default option is ‘Format’. Select this option by pressing the OK button.
  6. Select "Yes" to format the card.
If all this does not work it might be that your SD card is damaged. Try to replace it with another one. If you have any more questions, just come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

Sd card

Well, you can try removing the SD card and reinserting the card again. If you don't know where it is located, it is right below the green send key. If you look on the side of the phone there is a door that you can open if you open the keyboard. If that doesn't work, you may need to try the card in another device and try to reformat the SD card. Beware as this will delete everything on the card, but clear up any errors the card may have.
