I have a 2nd Zire 71 that I want to hotsync to my PC but no luck so far. I tried first a hard reset then a new user name and when that didn't work I tried using the same user name as for the unit that does sync..still no luck.

hi again jmtrego the active sync is in your menu under settings. If you don't see the active sync then it may b called hot sync. hELLO jmtrego go you have a bluetooth setting on the zire. The palms are all have their on way of trasnferring if you can't use the pc then use the bluetooth setting on the zire hard reset don'r really help the palms. You can call palm tech support. if you can't get it . But first you can blue tooth your sire to your pc you need to make the zire discoverable. under connections . their is a menu for connections.if you go to the prefd on the menu you will be able to do the connections.. did you buy the zire brand new. i think your zire isnt working properly.
