Can't take pics to the SD card

Hello,

When I take pictures, I can see them in display mode. But when I switch off the camera and switch it on again, all the pictures disappear.
When there's no card in the camera, pictures are saved and can be seen later. In that case, it's also possible to insert the SD later and transfer the pics onto it. But taking pictures straight to the SD does not work

Thanks for your assistance.

I have had the same problem the last year or so...it happened a few months after I got the memory card.
My friend told me to go to the HP website and get a patch for the camera and that should fix it. but I couldn't find any patch.
I am tempted to scrap the camera and get a better one.

Have you tried a different card? It could be that your current SD card is faulty. How old is the camera? It may be worth e-mailing/phoning HP's customer support.

When i remove the sd card to upload photos to my computer my new pictures are not there but are when the sd card is in the camera?

There are two possibilities that I can think of. 1) The SD card is full. You will need to copy the pictures off the SD card and onto your computer, then format the card. You can probably do this in the camera, but MAKE SURE you have copied the pictures you want to your computer because the format will erase everything. 2) The SD card is write protected. Look closely at the SD card there is a little slide switch that "locks" the SD card so that your camera cannot put any pictures on it. This slide switch must be in the unlocked position (or NOT locked).
Hope this helps.

IPICS ON SD CARD DO NOT SHOW ON PLAYBACK OLYMPUS 8010

Many cameras will only display pictures taken by that camera (or at least the same model). Also, if a picture has been edited in any way (opening a pic in a photo editor and saving it without making any changes counts as editing) then the camera will not display it.

Olympus Stylus 7030 Digital Camera: we rotated some pics on the sd card, on a pc, then replaced the sd card in the caemra. Now the camera will not display them. We also rotated the photos back and tried...

Afraid not. Many cameras will not display edited images, and rotating counts as an edit. If you still have the original picture (before the first rotation) then you can copy that to the card. Otherwise you'll only be able to view the picture on a computer (or other output device, like a picture frame) and/or print it.

Will not download to computer.Cannot delete pictures on card. Will take one picture and CHR will flash and cant take another pic for 10-15sec.Have tried another card-didnt make a difference.

Hi,
Ithink your SD card set in lock mode . SD cards have a slide switch along one edge.Always lock position nearest the connecting wire (copper wire)in the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fullythe other way and then back again.

I have my camera in a protected mode and cannot delete pics from my sd card

Take the memory card out of the camera and look at it. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

How do i get pictures off internal memory onto a computer or sd card

Hi, I have the similar s8000fd and I transfer pics from internal memory by taking out the sd card then connect to a spare usb socket on computer, then switch camera on. To transfer pics from internal memory to sd card - leave sd card in, switch on camera (playback mode), press menu, select copy, select 'internal memory to sd card', 'select frame' or 'all frames'. It should say 'copy ok?' Press OK.

I can take pictures just fine but when I push the review button on the camera, it statesno images to display. I cannot review any pics and cannot download into my laptop, HELP I am trying to sell my home...

if the display its ok ..I suspect something wrong with the internal memory ..try to remove the SD memory card and see if the pictures are actually stored on the card..and download directly from the card using a card reader ...if you only use the 32M internal memory and didnt expend on a Sd card ...probably its full or something wrong and do not store pictures anymore ..and thats why it doesnt sow'em anymore ...try to reset the camera to default setings Im not sure but all cameras have something lik ethis in menu...and try to see again the results...but if the camera works ok ..but cause a malfunction of software it do not sowa the pictures anymore ..the solution is to download from the SD mem card directly using a card reader ...most laptops have sd card reader ..and all picture printers read from the card too

Unable to view pics

Copy the existing photos on to your PC, switch off the camera. Remove the SD card and format the SD-card using a SD-card reader, this will clear all the card contents. Now try using it in your Camera again. Ideally, you should be able to save photos on this SD card. Other way would be to insert another SD card into your camera and click photos and check whether those photos are being saved into the SD card(this can be done using display option in your digicam.)
