My flash simply will not work. I have a hard time getting a photo when the flash is needed because it won't allow me to shoot. I select 'no flash' and I get a photo but poor quality. Thank you!

If the Forced flash setting is already enabled and the flash is still not working, then the issue may be due to another camera setting. Even if the Forced flash setting is enabled, the flash will still not work in the following circumstances:
When shooting MPEG movies When shooting in the Twilight or Handheld Twilight mode If shooting with the Burst or Multi Burst mode Shooting with Sweep Panorama mode Shooting with the Fireworks or High Sensitivity mode. If an external flash is connected. Please make sure that the Camera is not set to any of these modes. You can check the manual to get the information to change the setting..
If the issue persists, please reset the Camera and make sure that battery is fully charged. If the issue persists after performing all the above mentioned troubleshooting steps, service is required. If you feel that the above Troubleshooting steps, helped you. please rate my answer positively. Thanks for understanding.

How do i get the flash to work all the time on my nikon coolpix

Press cursor-up on the multiselector (marked with a lightning bolt) to bring up the flash menu. Select the lightning bolt icon and press OK.
In some scene modes you won't be able to bring up the flash menu. In this case change the shooting mode first.

My SB800 will not fire. It comes on, but the flash will not go off with the camera or if I hit "flash" on the back of the unit without putting it on the camera. I'm sad! I was shooting many...

When you shoot like crazy, like shoot with a very low ISO and take many flash photos the flash works hard. You can hear the recharge cycle and it takes a while to recharge and get the red LED back on. So you were using the flash and it got HOT. When it gets HOT it shuts down. It is supposed to STOP working when it gets hot. If you want to shoot like crazy you have to get the flash a break and shoot a higher ISO.

Screen goes blank and won't turn on

Hi there,
Well it seems like there is some internal hardware issue in your phone, or it's simply the battery of your phone is gone. If your phone is works on charging mode then it's the battery problem and you need to change the battery of your phone. else there is some internal hardware fault on your phone.
You may also try a hard reset method -
1. Turn the power off. If your HTC Wildfire S is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
2. Hold the Volume Down button
3. Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on
4. You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock
5. Select Clear Storage by pressing the Volume Down button
6. Press and release the Power button
7. Now simply confirm your decision: Volume Up for YES and Volume Down for NO
Many of the time hard resetting a phone will works.
Note. The hard reset method erase all the data from your phone.
Good Luck

My Pentax Optio M90's Flash has stopped working.. it doesn't matter if I have selected the flash to be on or off it still won't work. Even when setting are set at auto it still won't work...

Hi kerritm,

This indicated that it's time you need to replace your flash , therefore you can get it done via a service center,

The camera's flash has a certain life and you can't expect it to be ok for many years together ,

In unfortunate cases , it stops working due to hard ware failure.

Therefore , Please get the flash replaced and you would be able to use it.

Hope this helps..:)

What happens if you press the shutter button on your camera and you have no memory card installed will you break the camera

According to the manual your camera does have an internal memory, so shooting with no SD card installed will simply result in internal photo storage. Using the camera's MENU you can select or deselect the option to "Shoot w/o card." Selecting ON will store photos in the internal memory, while OFF will divert all photos to the card. Attempting to shoot with the option OFF and no card installed will prevent the camera from taking photos and display a message. I could not find information on the number of photos that can be stored on the internal memory.

Need the manual? You can download/print it here:
