My washer is a year old, bought at Sears, Kenmore front loader. My washer will go through the normal cycle without any gliches, but if you put it through a second rinse, the wash tub is full of soap. This leaves me to believe I have all kinds of soap left on my clothes after a full cycle. So I have been rinsing my clothes twice, sometimes 3 times.
Repairman, came over yesterday and he really didn't have a clue what could be the problem.
After moving into our house with a 4 year old Kenmore HE Elite washer, I noticed that my clothes, especially the towels, became scratchy. I have tried washing another cycle without soap, but that increases the wash time to an hour and a half....plus the clothes are still scratchy. I use the correct amount of HE soap. I watch it wash and it looks like my washer doesn't seem to put enough water into the tub to wash thoroughly or completely rinse the soap out. There is no water line. The clothes just get wet and slosh around a little. Is this normal? Is there some kind of setting to increase the water? Do all front load washers do this?

Hope you are using he detergents (high effeciency low suds) also if you have soft water oversudsing can occur even with he ..try reducing amount ..also have been told tide he detergent tends to suds more so may try switching detergent brands try runing washer with no soap no clothes begore next load to flush out any detergent that may remain ..be sure to run washer with bleach no clothes on short cycle peroidically to avoid mold/mildew odors that front loads tend to acquire after a few months use and leave door open if possible between uses..let me know about detergent thanks

Likely the cause is grease from a failing rear bearing.
Unfortunately, it's cheaper to buy a new washer than to fix this one. That's pathetic for a washer that's only 8 years old, and completely negates any environmental and economic benefits of buying a front loader.
do you use affresh to clean your front loader? deposits of soap and other such things can be stuck around the inside tub of your washer. try this porduct out it works great on all front loaders use hot water with the affresh pellet with no clothes and run the machine through a cycle this also helps with any stagnant water smells also have you cleaned out your pump lately. * note remeber to put the pellet on the inside of the machine not in the soap dispenser
The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and
stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws
underneath. The
panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the hose
you
see.The white filter cover is right in front.
Get yourself a bunch of towels or a good big plastic bag to collect
water.
Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the
stuff and
put it back in carefully.
Next: You can use Affresh to clean your front loader. Deposits
of soap and other such things can be
stuck around the inside tub of your washer. Try this product, it works
great on
all front loaders. Use quite hot water with the Affresh pellet with no clothes
and
run the machine through a cycle. Also
helps with any stagnant water smells. Have you cleaned out your pump
lately.Put the pellet inside the
machine, not in the soap dispenser.
Pl give me a good rating for the free help, thanks.
periodically this has happened in a white sheet wash in my kenmore front loader series 417. we ran the washer empty with washer cleaner and blackish water was ejected from the pump. Another site suggests mildew under the drum . I am wondering if some oil from the unit is leaking in on a high spin cycle where the load is too full.
First do this: Start a normal cycle with no clothes in the washer. After the washer agitates (tumbles) a few minutes, pause the washer and look immediately if there are any suds in the machine. There should be no suds what so ever. If you see any, that means there is a build up of soap residue in your washer. That would be caused by an excessive amount of soap usage. You did not say how much soap you have been using. For a large load, use 1 to 2 tablespoons of soap at most (even less if it is 2X or 3X concentrate) and not more than 1 teaspoon of fabric softener if you use it. This is due to the fact that your machine is only using about 12 gallons of water, vs about 45 for your old top load machine. Your towels have soap residue left in them. Wash with no soap for at least one time. If you are doing only bath towels, and towels are used only to dry off your clean body after your shower, they are not dirty, just damp. They do not really need soap to clean them. (and remember to never use fabric softener with towels)
You did not state your model number, but I believe you have a tub clean cycle on it. Run that cycle with no clothes and a front load washer cleaner in it, such as 3 tables of Affresh, or a full bottle of Washer Magic, or Tide front load washer cleaner, or Whirlaway hot tub cleaner, or Smelly Washer Cleaner (smellywasher.com).
I have also heard some people have had better luck with powdered soap, but I think that the amount of soap being used is really your problem
The brand of your front loader is not that material on this issue. What is happening is that your old top load washer may have used as much as 45 gallons of water per cycle, while some front loaders use as little as 12. Because of the low water use, you must cut back on the additives you are using. Use only 1 tablespoon of HE detergent (even less if 2x or 3x detergent) per load. If you use fabric softener, use only 1 teaspoon per load. Odor on clothes after wash is indicating that the detergent and or softener has not been fully rinsed out. If you throw a load of washed towels into your machine and start a cycle without any soap, then stop the cycle, you should not see any suds. If you do, there is obviously soap left in the clothes. With bath towels, the towels are used to absorb clean water off a clean body. They do not need soap when you wash them, and never use fabric softener on towels.
As I have not received a response, I'm assuming these hints have taken care of your problem. If you have any more troubles, feel free to drop me a note back.
