Stopped in mid cycle and wont restart

Hi....I think I can help you with this. I checked a troubleshooting site for Crosley dishwashers, and there could be a couple of reasons why the cycle stopped:
1. The thermal fuse shuts off power to the dishwasher if it overheats. If the thermal fuse blows, it will prevent the dishwasher from starting. To determine if the thermal fuse is defective, use a multimeter to test the fuse for continuity. If the thermal fuse does not have continuity, replace it.
2. The door switch prevents the dishwasher from running while the door is open. If the door switch is defective, the switch will prevent the dishwasher from running even when the door is closed. To determine if the door switch is at fault, use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity. If the switch does not have continuity, replace it.
3. The door latch ensures that the dishwasher door latches shut. If the door does not latch properly, the door switch might prevent the dishwasher from running. If the door latch is broken, replace it.
You can also find more related troubleshooting here:

You'll need the model number for your particular dishwasher.
I hope this has helped you.

Opened lid during wash cycle. Machine stopped but later restarted. The same thing happened two weeks later, but the touchpad has no function. It is getting electrical power to the dishwasher. Thoughts?

Ok so your dishwasher won't do anything... it justs sits there and "Hums" you can't make it respond to any controls, and the ONLY way to Stop it. is to unplug the unit, replugging back in it simply "Hums" again and will do nothing.
Now this happens because, the STOP Button, is pressed and the "Door Opened", during the Wash Cycle. This should NOT be done. You shouldNEVER TURN IT OFF MID-CYCLE. you should instead, Simply, pull on the handle, to Open the door, the system will take care of everything, after, you close it,and pick up where it left off. The turning OFF, makes the machine "Think" that a New Cycle, is going to be done, before the old one is finished, and resets itself to do it all again. But it still has water, that's not meant to be there so it must dump it out.
Now, the FIX. Take the Dishwasher, out, and tip over on it's side, tip to about a 45' angle. Water will come out from underneath, this is from a small "Overflow" reservoir. this reservoir has an "Anti-Flood" switch. The removing of this water will "Reset" this Switch, and allow the dishwasher to work again.
So what happens, is this, when the STOP button is pressed Mid-Cycle, the machine must "Dump" whatever water is still in the machine, into the "Overflow Reservoir". This water then causes the Anti-flood switch to jam, and this stops the machine, until it is reset,by the above method.

The dishwasher door keeps popping open

I have the same problem and it appears that everyone else who has replaced the door seal runs in top this issue. This is a new seal design that is different from the original. This new seal is obviously poorly designed is placing too much pressure on the door causing it to either not close, or open mid cycle. I am presently duck taping the door closed when running the machine in the hope that the heat cycling the new seal will eventually cause it to deform and relieve the pressure. I see that other have attempted to help the process by increasing the release pressure on the latch. This will be the last Kitchenaid large appliance I purchase.

Opened door on cycle, will not continue cycle after closing door

The most common problem for a dishwasher to not restart after the door being closed is a failed door latch interlock switch. Adjusting / repairing it is not too difficult.

Of course this assumes that the Dishwasher power circuit from the circuit breaker remains powered up.

Post back here if you are looking for more details.

Good Luck!

Whirlpool quiet partner III

Hello bckp,
Welcome to Fixya

If your dishwasher does not run or stops during a cycle

Is the Start/Resume indicator flashing? Opening the door or
interrupting the power stopped the cycle. Close the door and
press START/RESUME.
Does the Start/Resume indicator flash 3 times when you
press START/RESUME? The dishwasher is waiting for you to
open the door after the last cycle. Open and close the door,
then press START/RESUME.
Is the door closed tightly and latched?
(NOTE: On models with a dual-digit display, the control
displays “- -” during a cycle if it believes the door is not
latched.)
Is the right cycle selected? Refer to the “Cycle Selection
Charts.”
Is there power to the dishwasher? Has a household fuse
blown, or has a circuit breaker tripped?
Has the motor stopped due to an overload? The motor
automatically resets itself within a few minutes. If it does not
restart, call for service.
Is the water shutoff valve (if installed) turned on?
It is normal for certain cycles to repeatedly pause for several
seconds during the main wash.

If the dishwasher will not fill

Check the overfill protection float that is able to move up and down
freely? Press down to release.

Let me know if any of these procedures helped you?

Have Whirlpool dishwasher Gold Series, Model GU9805CGB1 which stops part way through wash cycle with the led indicator blinks on the normal cycle.....if we ope nthe door and shut ...it continues until part...

sounds like the door is losing contact with the door switch, first thing i would check is the door strike.Metal strike plate located on the tub itself that the door latch catches as it closes. its a spring metal striker, i would try bending it down a little bit to ensure better contact with the switches inside the door itself . next id open the control panel and check to make sure your door switches are secured well, wires are tight.

STOPS RUNNING IN MID-CYCLE

Try placing something like a chair with books or heavy objects on it in front of the door. Tip it with objects under the front legs and place objects on its seat until the pressure closes the door and the dishwasher starts. Put additional objects on the seat to insure vibration doesn't make the door pop open. If the cycle completes, the problem is probably the door switch. If not, the problem may be with the timer switch. If it's the timer switch the dishwasher will probably stop at the same position each time.
