Can you print a previously sent fax or recover a fax that has been sent?

No, with the amount of memory that these fax machines have it would be impossible to store any previous jobs whatsoever.

Using an HP 8560MFP, how can I reprint a previous fax from a few weeks ago?

I have had little luck recovering old faxes from MFP printers, most do not have an internal hard drive, unless they are the bigger leased copier style units, and even then its a extra feature, Normally on these type machines faxes are stored to RAM which is temporary and cleared often. Though most machines will reprint the last job, because its still retrievable from memory. Not much of a solution, but this is my experience. cheers

I faxed something last week and lost the transmisson verification report, can it be re-printed? does my fax keep it in memory?

It's possible to print a Fax Activity report which would show both incoming and outgoing fax activity. To do this, do the following:
  1. Press Reports
  2. Use arrow keys < > to select 3. Fax Activity
  3. Press Set
If Fax Activity hasn't been set up, do the following:

Setting the Fax Activity Report Interval
You can set the machine to print activity reports at specific intervals (EVERY 50 FAXES, 6, 12, 24 hours, 2 or 7 days). If you set the interval to OFF, you can print the report by following the Steps in the next page.

  1. Press Menu, 2, 4, 2.
  2. Press or to choose an interval,
    and then press Set.
(If you choose 7 days, the LCD prompts you to choose a day at which to begin
    the 7-day countdown.)
I hope this enables you to recover your transmission report. Please post back with any questions or just to rate the solution. Thank you very much.

Reprinting faxes already sent

Sorry, but, no...facsimilie machines have memory, however this memory is reserved for error conditions only (ie; out of paper, out of toner, out of ink, paper jam,etc.......) Unfortunately, if all faxes that were sent, were able to be recovered, it would take over a terra bite (or Tb) hard disk drive to "remember" or save these documents.....If you need the same document(s)...I would suggest that you ask the person to fax it (them) back to you.

Fax recieved but does not show

Have you set memory or secure fax receiving? It look like you mess-up you the fax settings. You could recover hardware default, that should fix you problem, but do not forget that you will lose all the faxes you received yet.

Need fax out of memory

There is no direct means of recovering a lost fax, but unplugging the machine and reseating the power supply will restore normal operation. An error report will be printed and provide information about the lost fax, which may allow the user to contact the sender and request that the fax be sent again.

HP officejet 5610 all in one printer

You can download the manual from HP's website here.

You will need to configure the Fax machine to either auto answer or manually answer it to receive faxes. Generally Faxes are printed as they are received. If you have enabled Backup Fax mode the printer will store up to eight of the last faxes in memory, where they may be recovered by pressing Setup, then 6, then 5, then Reprint Faxes Stored in Memory.

Be aware that turning off the printer will clear all the faxes that are stored in the memoory.

Lexmark 5400 incoming fax job wont print

from the Lexmark website:

This issue occurs when the user sends a fax using the flatbed scanner. After the first page is scanned, a message is displayed asking if another page needs to be scanned. The user options are YES or NO.
  • If the user chooses YES or NO and the fax starts to dial, they can safely press CANCEL without inducing the problem.
  • If the user presses the CANCEL button instead of answering the question, all future received faxes will go to memory instead of printing out. NOTE: There is no direct means of recovering a lost fax, but unplugging the machine and reseating the power supply will restore normal operation. An error report will be printed and provide information about the lost fax, which may allow the user to contact the sender and request that the fax be sent again.
