I'm sorry, but your looking at an Optical Block Assembly which also includes the DM module. Latest figures are approximately $650.00 to replace. I would have called a service tech out to properly diagnose the problem first. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

if the old lamp exploded you may have a bad ballast. I would try another lamp first to be safe. Be sure the lamp has an Osram brand bulb inside. If there is no name on the bulb, get your money back.

you will need to pull the DLP chip out & clean the dust & foreign particles that got in while you had it apart.

I replaced the lamp for my Mitsubishi 915b403001 tv and the "lamp" light is still on

you need to reset the timer

It sounds like your TV lamp popped this lamps are rated for 6000-8000 life hours witch is a average time of 2-4 years take the lamp out I'm sure you will see broken glass inside the lamp I found the lamp you need

Warranty lamp for Mitsubishi 73

You should request to have the TV exchange for another one. You do not have to exchange the lamp yourself on that TV because any electronic device carries one year warranty from the date of purchase, if Mitsubishi is asking you to do it, tell them NO because you just had it working for about a day.
Call the store where you bought the TV from and ask them to exchange for another one.
