Hello & Welcome to FixYa

As everything in your dryer is working fine apart from it heating properly so the recommended repair will be thermal fuse/thermostat replacement. However, you can also test its continuity before replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

I have a dryer # 67832791 and doesn't seem like it heats up and takes longer to dry the clothes. Seems to run fine and operate fine just not drying the clothes.

restriction in the venting, disconnect vent tube, leave disconnected dry clothes and if they dry then clean out vent tube(vacuum, leaf blower, etc). Hope this helped Tim

My kenmore dryer heat element goes on and off. The clothes take hours to dry.

It seems to run forever If your dryer seems to run forever, it could be because of a clogged vent or internal ductwork. Your dryer may have an automatic cycle that turns off the dryer when the clothes are dry. It does this with a special thermostat or moisture-sensing system. Normally, this is what happens during an automatic cycle: The thermostat tells the dryer to heat until the interior of the dryer reaches a pre-set temperature--say 135 degrees. When the dryer reaches the pre-set temperature, the thermostat tells the timer to begin advancing. (If there's a moisture sensor, the timer advances only if the moisture content of the clothing is low enough.) The timer advances until the interior cools, then the thermostat tells the timer to stop advancing, and tells the dryer to start heating again. This cycle continues until the clothes are dry. But…if the vent is clogged, the dryer may never reach the proper operating temperature, so it doesn't send the signal to the timer and the dryer continues to run indefinitely, even if the clothes are completely dry. To fix the problem, clean the vent and/or internal ductwork.

My daughter left clothes in the dryer and they werent dry now my dryer smells soured. how do i get rid of the smell?

Try tossing a tad of dry baking soda in with the clothes in may take a time or two but it would be better than tossing the dryer. If it smells like mildew also maybe try placing some charcoal inside withe door shut, charcoal draws mildew.

Dryer takes too long to dry my clothes

My dryer has been taking longer and longer to dry my clothes. Sometimes it takes multiple cycles before the clothes become dry. They seem to be getting warm, but are not drying as quickly as they use to.

Here's the problem: There is a dial on the dryer that should allow me to adjust for 'more dry' and 'less dry'. Up until recently, I could set the dial, and end up with clothes that were either 'more dry'...

sounds like you may have a clogged or kinked vent. its generating heat so the dryers good, your not exhausting properly, either clean or replace your venting, look to where it exits hte home sometimes theres ascreen over it cloggged with lint!!!!
