I have an older Kenmore Microwave oven from around 1983/1984 with a built-in TV and cassette player.
Are replacements parts available for the micro-wave?
The TV and cassette player work fine but the microwave recently stopped working - I was told I need a power circuit board and main control unit.
I think the model number is 564.8998310.
Thank you

Unless the microwave was labeled as a refurbished or open box unit, I'd contact K-mart customer service and see if they'll send you a replacement manual before you order one.
Sometimes older microwave ovens are built into the walls and are attached to the studs and mountings already in the house with cabinets built around them. Try taking off the paneling of your cabinets a little at a time until you can see how the microwave is attached. With any luck, it's held in by brackets underneath the cabinets and not attached to the studs in the walls.
This was my first microwave oven repair, and I feared the worst - big $$$'s, parts no longer available, etc. But after I pulled the unit forward and found the schematic diagram, it turned out to be a defective microswitch in the secondary door latch circuit.
Even in retirement, my degrees in electronics and computer science occasionally save me some $$$'s.
