When the TV first went out there was no picture or sound so I replaced the bulb and had sound and pic for about 6 hrs total between 2 days of watching the TV. So I sent that bulb back and received an upgraded bulb. Now after putting in that new bulb I hear a clicking noise(like a cricket) then static noise-no picture-light blinks and then turns itself off. Any ideas???

Ur tv been in use at least 1 1/2 or 2 years.On about 4 or 5 hours a day on this tv?The LED light indicator "LAMP" flashes?The projection bulb life is over.Require a new bulb.

Hi,Osram lamps average around 3000-4000 hrs.Normally 1 -1 1/2 yr.I do think the lamp went out.The ballast is a possibility,when it's going bad it will make clicking noises or attempts to light the bulb.I recommend to get the Original Philips lamp for they average 6000-8000 hrs 3-4 yrs.

This problem usually happens when the lamp runs out, verify how old is your TV, lamps have a life spend of aprox. 3 years, most likely you would have to replace the bulb so your TV can start running again!!

I have the same issue, we've had to change our bulb three times in less than two years. now we have 61" expensive paper weight. Our current bulb is less than 6 months old. The TV is only 2 years old and like i said this is our third bulb.

the blue light blinks 4 times. you get sound. then a few minutes the the picture returns... then it goes out, and the cycle goes on.

A solution to this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,Make sure you get the Original Philips lamps since they last 6000-8000 hrs 2-4 yrs,way better then Osram which last 4000-5000 hrs 1 - 1/2 yrs.

I have a 57" DLP and have replaced the bulb 3 times in 2&1/2 years. I'm not possitive but I think I have 6-800 hrs on it total. Mitsubishi claims it a part they expect to go out, but the told me they typically last about ten yrs. If you have proof of purchase they will send you a new one for free, otherwise it'll cost you about $150 on ebay.

DId you Try replacing the bulb?
