Sound Problem

Sounds like something's up with your EQ. From the main menu, go to Music>Music Options>Music EQ and try another setting or play around with Custom. Could also be volume. Go to main menu>Settings>Reset All (NOT FORMAT!!!) Recommend trying both in given order. Hope this helps.

Reformatted sansa e250 need help

When you format it, it deletes everything on the player. You'll just have to put everything back on it.

I want to delete the songs, and start over, how do I do that?

You can go into the settings option of the player from the menu, and scroll all the way down and you should see an option of format. Then it should ask you internal or external and select internal and it should delete everything on there back to normal.

Upgrading the firmware also has the same effect - Sansa never has and never will resolve this issue - sorry.

Formatting

Hi,

If for some reason the Format option is gone, then perhaps some of the firmware or settings have been drastically changed or worst, corrupted.

A couple of things you can try:
a. do a soft reset - press on the Power/Menu for 15 seconds;
b. do a full settings reset - Main Menu/Settings/Reset All;
c. do a Format - Main Menu/Settings/Format but all in the internal memory will be erased;

If the above will not work, you can also try:
1. download and run in your PC Sansa Connect Recovery Tool
2. read the How to use the Sansa Connect Recovery Tool and follow the instructions carefully;
3. doing #1 will erase the corrupted files, unfortunately so with everything else. It will then restore the device software to an uncorrupted state.

Hope this be of help/ Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
