Check that it is installing to the correct file. Normally C Drive "Program files" I would suggest you go to the control panel and locate and completely uninstall the Epson scanner program first. This will give you a clean install. Check that during the installation, the disc may ask where you want the program to be installed. If it has a suggestion, let it instal itself, where it thinks is best.

If you upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 on the same computer, did you uninstall the MP620 drivers first? If not, the old driver files can be causing the problem.

To correct, go to this link, type "windows 7" in the search box in the center of the screen, and click on the Search button. Now click on the link "ERROR: Cannot communicate with printer after upgrading to Windows 7". You will have a step-by-step procedure for uninstalling the old files and downloading/installing the Windows 7 drivers (printer and scanner).

Drivers for windows 7 ?

Hi There,
Firstly you need to check if the scanner is compatible with windows 7. If not try install drivers for vista. Vista has a built in feature that will ask you if the drivers installed correctly and if not install using correct settings,I think windows 7 has same feature. I cant be ertain that it will work but worth a try...Hope this helps...I also found this, so not sure it may help...

This is from Agfa website. They dont make these anymore nor will they be making drivers. Try download the xp driver and see what happens...

Dear sir,I am sory for your problem.Please format your oparating system i mean you install new windows.some times optical driver did not read properly data cab file,So hardware driver is not support properly.Windows xp SP3 is not complite version some messing.

hi friend

1 u have plug ur sanner on a other port
2 do not power on ur scanner
3 put ur scanner driver cd in cd rom
4 start the instollation of scanner
5 in between installlation sadi u power on ur scanner then u have do power on ur scanner
6 then after scanner driver taken by during installation automatically
7 finiesh the installation

& try to scan

If you ran the driver and it is installed ..check it on the device manager (right click on my computer ..properties/ hardware/ device manager ..and if the scanner appears in yellow you have to click right and update driver..It will run the add new hardware wizard and you will have to go along with it ..either let it make this manually ..it should find the driver you installed previously ..and install it ..or do this manually by choosing it from existing installed drivers..
There is always the possibility that the driver you have is not compatible ..so ..get on the support site and download the one for windows 7 from there or at least for the vista..

It doesn't work on Windows 7 - end of story. I have tried everything.
It worked on XP. Now I am running Windows 8 and surprisingly it runs.
Scans 55 - 60 items then malfunctions and I have to restart the program, but it is at least working.
