When recovering the OS one of the files that get overwritten is the Registry Key file. The registry key file contains the details of programmes that are in use and "registered" to the pc.
So, in a few words, there is no way of just recovering the OS without wiping this data.
If you backup the complete system and programmes, you may be able to restore the bits you need but unless you don't own the programmes, you can reinstall them anyway, so no problem.

E6 pc suite for windows7

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D julyallan01_22.jpg

I like to install windows7 what i need to do?is

So far Windows 7 is turning out to be not only the fastest booting operating system but the most stable and user freindly...it is also very good at diagnosing its problems and fixing them. Download and run the Windows & advisor tool. This will scan your system and let you know if you have any possible trouble spots such as unsupported hardware or software. Now, drivers for devices are still not 100%, but if your machine originally came with the Vista Operating system then more than likely you are not going to experience any problems with the upgrade, Windows 7 is an upgrade to this and not a clean install.....but if you have XP, then you need to save your files to an external drive because Windows 7 cannot be upgraded from XP, it will do a format and clean install on your computer. There is a chance it will recover all your old XP files and programs and put them in a folder called "old windows", it will appear on your "C" drive. You can access your documents, pictures, music, etc....but programs may not run properly from that folder because there are no registery entries for them. Below is the Windows 7 advisor link......
