I just hooked up a Pioneer CDX-FM61 CD Changer in my truck and cannot get it to play any sound. I have went through all of the FM stations and still cannot get it to work. I have had a friend of mine go through and check it as far as the hookup and everything is hooked up right. I was wondering if there is any way of resetting it or setting the station on the cd changer itself. I do not have a manual and have not been able to find one on the internet.
I contacted pioneer on the issue and they informed me that on the older models such as this one if the radio picks up anything on 89.1 or 89.5 then it will not work due to the fact that these are the only stations it functions on.
ON THE REMOTE DOES IT SHOW THAT THE DISCS ARE PLAYING IF -SO CHECK THE ANT CONNECTIONS IF THEY ARE NOT IN THE CORRECT ORDER THEY WILL NOT WORK AND THE SOUND WILL NOT COME OUT OF SPEAKERS I CAN HELP YOU WITH MANUAL CALL 1800 TECH CAR THAT IS PIONEERS DIRECT NUMBER HOPE THAT HELPS

I dont know myself but the first thing that i would do would be to pull the cover off and look to see if there is anything happening inside. It may be something as simple as the carrier jamming, the cd motor isn't turning or a dirty lense. Try resetting it too, if you can find a button (or unplug it for a few minutes).
I have just bought a car from my aunt not too long ago. And she has this CD changer with it. I have only got it to work once, and it stopped working for no reasons. My aunt taught me to switch the radio frequency to FM 88.1, and then turn on the CD changer. It worked once, and then the next day it stopped working.
