Sounds like your pc's usb socket has a problem, try the following...
1. Try a different usb port,
2. Using a small light (and possibly a magnifying glass) look inside the usb port on the pc for bent pins or distortion within the socket causing the pins to touch something they shouldn't.
3. check the usb cable for minor damage, try a different cable if you can, different machines use different ways of manufacturing sockets making some more sensitive to a damaged plug than others.
The pc turning off is a safety system which prevents power being sent through data ports. If the pc turns off immediately after inserting the usb cable then that's a sure sign that there is a bad connection/short somewhere between the socket and the cable.
Hope this helps.

Samsung home cinema wont turn on

Sounds like it's stuck in it's power saving mode. If you've tried reset, checked all the connections, and kicked out the plug for a Cold Reboot and it's still no go, open the back, spit in it 3 times and hit it with a rock - or take it to a TECH because you've already done ALL that you are capable of, or you'd already know that.

How can I make my tomtom find local places I want?

I hope you have TomTom home installed on your computer. If you already have it, then it is pretty simple. Else, follow this procedure. 1. Connect the USB cable to the TomTom. (connecting this end is difficult, so connect this end before you power on. In fact, this is the only part I hate about a TomTom) 2. Switch on the TomTom. 3. Turn your computer on. Once the booting of the computer is finished, 4. Connect the other end of the USB cable to your computer (note Tom should be on at this point of time) 5. wait a few seconds. 6. You computer will first install Tom and then ask you whether you want to install TomTom home software. say yes and complete installation. (just follow the screen prompts) 7. Create a login (register) and password. If you have already have all this done earlier. follow this procedure. Connect tom to your computer open TomTom home software. wait till it update and settle to the Tomtom home home interface page. It will say manage your Tom the easy way here on top. And you will see a few buttons with: Add map, Add traffic, voices, safety camera etc. click on Add traffic, voices, safety camera button. On the page that opens, Click on Point of interest button. On the next page that opens, you will see a list of POIs. The easy way to find what you want here is to use the box next to search. Type in Home depot and click on search. You will see list of Home depot locations. I guess you are looking for Canada home depot locations. If yes, scroll down to Home depot Canada. select it and click add. Wait till that information is added to your Tom. once finished close Tom home software and safely remove your Tom from computer. Switch off Tom. switch on Tom. Search for Home depot in your POI list. This time around you will see you get one that is closer to you provided the latitude / longitude information is there in the list you downloaded. Most chances are that it will be there.

How do i change my tom tom one from spanish back to english

Do you want to change the language of the VOICE or the WORDS IN THE SCREEN? These two are independent from each other and need to be set up by separate.

1) To change the VOICE, you need to download an ENGLISH VOICE or have it in your GPS already.
a) Start TomTom Home on your computer.
b) Plug in the TomTom dock to a USB port on your computer and plug in your TomTom GPS on the dock
c) Turn on the GPS and when asked "connect to computer" answer "yes" (you may not be asked if you want to connect; TomTom Home amy detect your GPS and connect to it automatically). If your GPS is not connecting to TomTom Home, turn the GPS off, turn it upside down and press the "reset" button for 7 seconds, place the GPS back on the dock and turn it on. It should automatically connect to TomTom Home now.
d) On the TomTom Home software, click on the icon labeled "Add Traffic, Voice, cameras..."
e) Click on the icon labeled "voices"
f) Click on the icon labeled "computer voices"
g) Click on any of the voices that says "English" on the second ("language") column; download and install the voice
h) Go to the TomTom Home top menu and under "DEVICE" choose "DISCONNECT DEVICE". Wait a few seconds until the GPS communication with the computer is broken and the GPS restarts. You don't need the computer anymore for now
i) On your TomTOm GPS, tap on the middle of the screen to bring the menu.
j) Touch "CHANGE PREFERENCES"
k) Touch "VOICE PREFERENCES"
l) Touch "CHANGE VOICE"
m) Select any of the voices that are in English (such as "SUSAN, English US, Computer"). After this, you can TEST the voice. Check that you can hear the voice, otherwise, you'll need to adjust the volume. We'll do this later. Touch "SELECT" to select the voice. Press "DONE" on the next 3 screens until you're back to the GPS navigation screen
n) To change the volume, tap on the LOWER LEFT rectangle. You'll get a VOLUME SLIDE. Slide it to the RIGHT to increase the volume and to the LEFT to lower it. I keep mine around 85% volume.

YOU ARE DONE SETTING UP A NEW VOICE

2) To change the LANGUAGE of the WRITTEN DIRECTIONS on the screen:
a) On your TomTom GPS screen, tap on the middle of the screen to bring the MAIN MENU on
b) Tap on the PREFERENCES icon
c) Tap on the RIGHT ARROW 7 times or until you see an icon labeled "CHANGE LANGUAGE".
d) Using the UO and DOWN arrows on the GPS screen, scroll up or down untill you see the langauges you're looking for. You'll get a screen with several languages available, including "English UK" and "English US"
d) Touch on the screen you want. The screen will automatically go back to the previous menu screen that shows the "CHANGE LANGUAGE" icon. Touch the "DONE" button.

YOU ARE ALL DONE. Now, your VOICE and all WRITTEN DIRECTIONS should be in ENGLISH.

If this didn't work, please report back so that I can provide further assistance

Adding laptop to home system through Belkin59G .

Good Day!

I believe you are trying to connect wirelessly using your laptop to your wireless router(Belkin 59G). Try to hook it up first on your computer and check if you can go online.

If yes, then that's the time you go to the router's set up page and check the wireless security of the router so that you can connect wirelessly.

If not, then you have to reconfigure the router and the modem. If your internet service provider is cable you can just turn off the router then the modem and waitfor 5 seconds. Turn on the modem, wait for the lights to turn on then the router. After that, check if the computer will be able to go online when connected directly to the router.

Speakers not working they won't turn on or the light won't come on

HI
I know this sounds silly but make sure that your speakers are plugged in (I'm sure you have already done that). Try wiggling it around a little to make sure the connection is good. If you still get nothing then there are a couple things. First, if you have speakers from another computer try those to make sure your speaker connection on the actual computer is good.
If that works, your speakers are most likely defective. (not unheard of with Acer speakers)
If you just purchased them, try calling the manufacturer for a replacement. If you don't want the hassle, you can buy a decent computer speaker for $20.
Hope this was helpful
Have a great day!

Turn on problem

Some times, the charging cable from the laptop will not charge a fully depleted battery. If you have not already done so, try charging it using the wall charger that came with the phone.

Hope this works!
