How do u release seat from base - Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix (Black Reflection) Infant Car Seat

1. Open the trunk and locate the seat release levers or buttons. These are typically located at the base of the seat near the bottom of the seatback.
2. Press the seat release lever or button to release the seat from the vehicle.
3. Carefully lift the seat up and out of the vehicle.
4. To remove the seat bottom, pull the seat bottom forward, and then lift it out of the vehicle.
5. To remove the seat back, pull the seat back forward and then lift it out of the vehicle.

Push down hard on the seat, then pull the release.

To override release the carseat from the base, use a pair of long nosed pliers to reach the wires that are inside the base. They can be accessed underneath the grey button on the base. Pull the wires toward you and the carseat can be lifted from the base.

This is an issue with the base, not the carseat, so the base needs to be sent in for inspection and repair required. Please contact the customer care team for further assistance.

Try pressing down very hard on the seat while trying the release. If that does not work, call the manufacturer.
Note: if this does release, check the seat belt for damage before using again. Also check that the belt path used to install the base is/was correct.

The problem:
The set belt stop has been lost so the seat belt retracts too far when the seat is laid flat. When laid flat the release mechanism lock as it should when not level. So the seat cannot be raised up as the belt is too tight and locked.
The Solution:
1) Push the two little clips to release and remove the headrests.
Pull the grey lever on the right of the seat base, lift seat base up and forward toward the front seat..
2) See two red capped leversat the back of the two seat hinges and lever them to the upward position, this releases the seat.
Rock the very heavy seat unit upwards and lift complete unit upwards.
3) Take it out of the car and turn 180% so that the back of the seat and base are in the upward position and the seat belt will pull out as it should
4) Replace the missing belt locking stop (I used a tie pin permanently fixed using super glue).
5) Fold seat back down and test then either re-fit seat unit or leave out to decrease fuel consumption..

Every ISOFIX base has a button which you can press and release the base from the car seat.
Usually it's a round one at the junction of the ISOFIX base and it's LEG

Bubba, Under the front of the seat is a latch that you must release there is a rubber block that must be rotated forward to be able to release the two little knobs that it is wedged between Rotate the knobs inward and lift the front of the seat. the seat will flip toward the rear of the chair and you now have access to the batteries. to remove the seat disconnect the joystick cable from the base and slide the seat forward after you have it tilte back and lift it off the base. The straps should have a release buckle, just pull it really hard while the carseat is removed. Its a lot easier if you put all your weight on the base like kneeling down on it while pushing the release buckle toward the crease of the seat and alternating weight on the base. Good Luck, and remember, you can always cut and replace the belt if necessary!!:)
