Problem with sanyo VPC E760

I just bought this camera in december. it worked fine until i tried to turn it on the other day and the lens did not fully come out. it looks like the lens "got stuck" because it is slightly angled. i've tried to turn it on and off and it doesn't move. the light just blinks. i did not drop the camera and keep it in a padded case at all times. can you help or give me a number to call so i can fix this?

Broken Lense

try these:-
  • connect it to pc and on it
  • vaccum the barrel of lens
  • changing mem. card and batt. for 2min.
  • shake it.
  • on and off in different positions
  • hit the part near lens softly with palm (trust me this made mine work)

Lens Errors 17 & 27 on Sanyo VPC-E760

My camera was showing lens error 12&25 and then shutting off. I tried gently trying to twist and pull the furthest out part of the lens and it popped back into place easily. It made a noise when it did this, and then i turned the camera off, and the lens went back in!! Completely fixed now!!

My sanyo camera is not working

Well maybe I can solve this..... My lens would not retract and showed two error messages. Tried a number of tricks that have been recommended on this site to no avail. Ultimately what worked for me was pushing quite hard on the barrel of the lens trying to force it back in ( yeah i know, sounds extreme but did'n't think it could make the situation any worse ). The lens remained in the locked out position not moving in spite of the fact that I pushed it fairly hard. When I turned it on the lens retracted and it appears to be fully recovered from whatever was ailing it. Hope this works for you.
