May be the canon printer printhead is not installed properly. Or maybe the canon printhead not working due to some internal errors in the printing device.

My Canon MP520 has a 6A80 error and now the printer head is also stuck on the far right side.

6A80 error is an APP position error caused by the APP motor during the purging operation as the printer starts up. Canon states that one of three components is likely to have failed, the sheet feed unit, purge unit or logic board. All of these will be almost impossible to get as a spare part. The only thing worth trying is an EEPROM reset that can be done using the service manual. Get a copy here: http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/4981053-canon-pixma-mp520-printer-service-manual

What does error code 5c00 in a canon mx700 printer mean?

Hi, 5C00 is a purge unit error, the purge is the cleaning unit on the right where the print head parks when shut off. If paper or something is caught in there you get an error, also ink build-up can stop it as well, a damp Q-tip will clean some of the ink away, if it doesn't help you need a new purge assembly.

Hope it helps.

What does an error 5200 mean?

(1) With the printer turned on, unplug it
(2)Open the top and bring the ink cartridge holder to the middle
(3)Raise the gray bar and remove the print head assembly with the cartridges in it
(4) Lower the gray bar with the head missing and close the top with the head out
(5) Restore the power, wait til the printer wakes up
(6) It will tell you to put in the cartridges
(7) Restore the print head, close the top and the printer should resume working.....
it is a printer head error and some solved it that way ..after you do that it will resume the function and work ..

Pixma MX700.Error code 5100 . Paper from rear printing stuck in printer. Please advise.

Hi You can Try

Error Code 5100 You need to get ant bits paper from it first, no easy way just go to get in to it and get it out try turning the rollers by hand.

Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.

Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .

Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

Error message 6a80 mx700 printer canon what is this?

Hello

Ok, the error code you are getting refers to a paper jam, which the paper is usually torn from the big piece and stuck, you need to have a good lok to find it.
Most probably the paper was ripped inside, and one piece is stuck somewhere on a sensor. Usualy is the purge unit that clean up the print head, and it's located inside on the right side (printhead parking place).

Take a torch, lift up the scanner unit, with the unit ON, wait for the print head to come in the middle, move it to left to make more room, and check the right side, inside the unit.

Kind regards
Andrea

Canon pixma mx700 error code 5010

5010 is a scanner error from the scanner on top. Canon has no parts for these and you can only replace the entire top of your machine. If you can get it apart, you might clean and lube, but it's not made to be opened.
