Do you mean washers on the washing machine water input pipe?
There is no chemical difference between the red or black washers apart from their colour.
Hope that is what you meant.

I have a Bosch steam iron TDS25, and the handle of the iron is getting red hot and water is coming out of the back of the iron. Help!!

Steam irons become clogged from water deposits. You may clean your iron with white vinegar and water. You should use distilled water. Make a Mixture of 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar, and pour the mixture into the iron as you would when you fill the iron with water. Turn the iron on 'steam' and let the mixture run through. You may need to do this a few times, depending on how clogged the iron is. After cleaning use distilled water to fill the iron, becuase distilled water leaves minimul deposits behind.

Microwave worked this morning and now not.....made no noise just stopped heating.

HELLO.

The solution is to diagnose the magnetron as explained below.

* 1 Fill a mug with room temperature water from your kitchen sink.

* 2 Place the mug of water on the glass cooking plate inside the microwave.

* 3 Set the microwave on "High" for one minute and press "Start." You should hear the magnetron hum while it is working.

* 4 Remove the mug carefully from the oven by its handle. The magnetron is working properly if the water is hot or warm. The next step repair or a replacement of magnetron if the water is still cold.

Thanks.

My Corelle plate (round) is wedged in my round Rival stoneware crockpot - have tried everything I can think of to unstick it - soap, oil, hot water, cold water -- only the tip of a thin knife fits between...

suggestion to try, depending on how far the plate is down in the stoneware, try filling the Crockpot with warm water. Then plug in the Crockpot and turn it on to a medium heat. Then keep close watch on it, as the stoneware warms up it may expand enough to release the plate.

Dishes are not getting clean particularly in the upper rack. The soap dispenser opens properly but the soap was still there. The washer seems to fill properly and it sounds normal. The dishwasher goes...

Make and model? Is the water hot enough? Is this a new problem? Is all of the detergent still in the dispenser or do you use detergent both in the washer and the dispenser? Please reply to this inquiry for more help. Do you have the manual?

Inserted K cup and closed machine. Says Brewing but coffee machine only dispenses a few tablespoons of water...tried turning machine off and off, but same amount of water is dispensed each time, no matter...

Sorry to read about your issue.

The brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar.

Take 48 oz of white vinegar. place in tank. pretend you are making coffee (Do No Use K Cup). let the water fill you mug. then empty that mug. Do it again until tank is empty. then let sit for 4 hours.
Then fill with fresh water to the top. let that tank of water run thru. towards the end taste the water.
If you taste vinegar..use more clean water, until the taste is ok.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Vote/Rate this response. Thanks and good luck

A little cleaning of the contacts might get that machine going. How about a repair manual?

My kenmore he3t washer sometimes fills with water when off.

This can happen if the water inlet valve begins to go bad. The valve has electronic controlled solenoids that open and close to turn the water source on or off. These solenoids go bad from time to time, or the diaphragm inside the valve becomes clogged with sediment and does not close properly.

Another cause can be the pressure switch malfunctioning. The pressure switch determines the water level inside the wash tub and shuts off the water inlet valve when the appropriate level is reached.

Any easy way to determine WHICH component may be causing the problem is the leave the water source turned ON and unplug the washer. If the leak continues, the problem is the water inlet valve. If the leak stops, the problem is the pressure switch.

To access either component, you need to remove the top panel of the washer. Locate the three screws that hold the top panel in place and remove. With the screws removed, the panel will slide back, then lift off. The water inlet valve will be loacted in the left rear of the washer (as viewed from the front). The pressure switch will be in the rear on the right.

To replace the water inlet valve, follow these steps:

1. UNPLUG the washer.

2. Turn off the water source and disconnect the fill hoses from the back of the washer.

3. With the top panel removed, disconnect the dispenser hose(s) and electrical connections to the valve.

4. Remove any mounting screws holding the valve in place and reinstall with a replacement valve.

The pressure switch is even easier. One connector plug and an air hose is the only thing attached to the switch. The switch is usually snapped in place along the interior cabinet wall with no screws holding it in place.

Replacement parts can be purchased on line at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

All these sites offer great service with competitive pricing, so shop and compare. The first three sites on the list also include helpful exploded view diagrams of your washer to help with locating parts and assembly.

I hope I've given you enough ideas to work with in narrowing down the cause of your symptoms. This is generally a very simple repair, that isn't very expensive. If you have any questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.
