Battery drains very quickly, in 5 to 10 minutes.

to drain the batteries down that quick the battery cables would be very hot to the touch
if they are not then the problem may be an internal fault in the batteries so have them load tested first to eliminate them from the equation
Unless you are running a heavy vehicle then 24 volts will be very unusual as most light vehicles run 12 volts
If that is the case and you have 2 X 12 batteries make sure that they are connect correctly ( in parallel not in series) or they will discharge each other very quickly

Do you notice your battery draining quickly? When your battery drains quickly, it heats up. This can happen if you are running many things at once, or if your battery is getting old.

Because of the power drain due to the functions you use and the resolution of your pictures, alkaline batteries in digital cameras will drain fairly quickly. The best bet is to get some high capacity rechargeable NiMH AA batteries (at least 2500MAH). This should give you the photo taking life your want.
I would get at least 6 rechargeables (the 15-minute rechargeables) so that you have a couple of changes available and you can quickly recharge them.

it could be the stator in the engine check the voltage with the volt meter when its running if its low check connections on battery & voltage if its below 12.5 volts then its the stator but the only thing is the engine should run with-out the battery so there is something else going on there is a fuse in the electrical system if theres a short that fuse will blow & engine will stall

either change the battery or the alternator,,just either of those,,,if your battery is no good it wont hold charge when started,,,also if your alternator is no good it wont charge your battery when engine is running,,,(it can also drain your battery if faulty)..get a second hand alternator in a breakers yard maybe a batt too much cheaper,,,hope i helped you,,

No sorry to say this is normal for this camera! you may want to look for rechargable lithium batterys (they will last longer in a high drain device such as your camera!

get the wiring checked as there is possiblely lose wireing and or bad earth conection
