How do I unlock my Gaggenau CI282 induction cooktop? I tried pressing the key symbol for 5 seconds and restart it. Nothing works.

Display cleaning protection

If you wipe over the control panel while the hob is switched on, settings may be changed. To avoid this, the hob has a function you can use to lock the control panel for cleaning. To activate: Remove the twist knob. An audible signal sounds. The ? indicator and the hob settings flash. The control panel is locked for 10 minutes. You can now wipe over the surface of the control panel without altering the settings.

To deactivate: Put the twist knob back on within 10 minutes. The control panel is unlocked. To end the function early, put the twist knob back on before the 10 minutes have elapsed.

My 5-burner 36" gaggenau has stopped working. I

Hello.
What the problem is a part in the cooktop that opens to let gas flow to the knobs as soon as they are turned on is bad and no gas coming to surface unit burners. This a safety feature that the German goverment(where Gaggenau is made) requires that part to prevent a gas leak when cooktop is off.

Cook top burner knobs all 4 not able to turn

Hello,

Just to be clear, non of the 4 burner controls/knobs will turn ? You are familiar with this unit are you ?

Typically you must push down and turn to activate them.

Let me know if that is not the solution.

Good Luck :)

When lighting one of the burners, the ingnition knob has to be held down over ten seconds for the flame to stay lit when the knob is released..

Lift the top of the Stove up.
Look for a Small line that goes to the Affected Burner.
At the end of that Line you will see a small Flathead Screw.
Turning That screw Clockwise Adjusts your Pilot Light for that Burner.
Be careful not to Adjust to High, it would just be a Waist of gas.

hope that helped.

Gaggenau clicking

Sounds like the spill got into one of the burner switches. This is not a big problem. Once it drys out it should return to normal. However if it keeps on clicking it could mean that one of the switches shorted out and will need to be replaced. The switches are located under the burner control knobs on the valve. Hope this helps.
