Since you are able to ping remote address it shows that Router has no problem. Its more at the computer side. Since you haven't indicate your operating system I will give you general troubleshooting steps. reset the Internet explorer settings (If you are using Windows XP you can uninstall-reinstall the Internet explorer).
Also you can check and reset firewall settings. Please inform the outcome and your questions if you need further assistance.
Good Luck

Connect one of the router's LAN ports to the computer, no other connections to the router.
Reset the router to factory defaults by holding the reset for 15 seconds with power on.
Reboot the computer.
Start, Run, cmd /k ipconfig
The address of the Default Gateway is the base address of the router, type that into IE to access the setup pages.

Hi dgperris, we want to help you with your question, but we need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box?
do you know how to log into the router as admin ?
can you check the wi fi settings and see if wi fi is enabled in the settings. As I had a router that would randomly disable this setting all by itself ?
