Try the motor controller, if you bought the unit before 2006 the part should have a 5 year warranty, check your manual. If not in Warranty the part is 178.99 average. The motor controller is in the back right corner of the machine. If you have a ohm meter check the motor for correct ohm readings, easy to do. The tech sheet inside the machine ( left side behind kick panel in a brown envelope) has the test procedure and ohm readings.

I have a GE Front Loader. Model# GHDVH670H1GG. The tumbler works until water is required to be drained. At that time, the tumbler is trying to tumble for rinse, but, the water is not being drained and not...

On my machine the pump filter was clogged preventing the water from draining out of the machine properly. This would leave the clothes soaked in water as the machine tried to spin, the extra weight caused the drum to rub against the door seal while spinning, causing the burnt rubber smoke! I removed the 3 screws on the lower fron panel of the machine and opened the drain ( make sure you have a pan or bucket to catch the water! ) cleaned the fliter and put everything back. Works like new again. Good luck.

Anussi ZWD 1271W stops at beginning of program

Hi,

Did you fix this problem? We have the same with Zanussi ZWD 1472 W. It takes some water and stops after 2 minutes. We need to shut machine down and fill water manually. It works fine then.

I heard a noise that sounded like it was grinding marbles and now it will not work and there is water in the washer.

Peggy,
“”I heard a noise that sounded like it was grinding marbles and now it will not work and there is water in the washer.””
With the washer not working do you have an error code to the LED display? Can expand on the washer not working?
Do you here the grinding noise in wash/agitate cycle when the tumblers are turning?
If so you need to remove the tumblers and see if there are any coins under the tumblers. See page 37 of the Service Manual.
The SM doesn’t call out the torx driver size required for tumbler removal it’s a #20 torx driver.
You can enter into Service Mode and empty the wash water with this process.
To pump out the excess tub water;
I would go to page 16 of the SM lower right hand part of page, Board Output Test and turn on the drain pump in service mode to pump out the tub.
Enter Service Mode by simultaneously pressing and holding the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys for three seconds or the display reads “00”
Pressing the Delicates key will lock the lid. Now press the Presoak key the drain pump will turn on. Stop with off button or hit the Presoak key.

water in base after overfoaming has leak detection if you can tip machine back this water will run onto floor allowing unit to rest, make sure you put down some rags towel etc to trap water there will be up to a pint of water.

I have an asko 11505 clothes washer. For some reason, it is not going through all of the spinning cycle, it spins for a short time, then stops abrutely. I cleaned the coin stop, cleaned out all water...

My Asko 11505 washer fills only a little water then shuts off. If I drain the washer with the drain hose from under the machine, then the machine will start up and fill enough water to fill the hose again, then shut off.

Water drains during wash cycle. I have used this washer for many years without a problem. About two months ago I noticed that the water level in the drum was going down during the wash cycle. Last week I...

Take the drain hose out of the drain pipe and put it into a sink to test the machine

If that works make sure that the drain hose is being allowed to breath (ie let air into the main drain pipe so that the machine does not set up a syphon).

My Kenmore washing machine he3

I had the problem of my HE3 washer would not drain all the way. Well I am pretty good at fixing stuff so I took apart the botton panel and there was the drain. I opened up the drain plug with a small bucket (gallon size) underneath and it started to drain and drain. Well about 3 gallons and five big beach towels on the floor i thought I fixed it. I found a service award badge and a couple of small socks. So I put everything back together and started to run a cycle. After the cycle finished my daughter decided to open the door and realized it was full again. After we got out the shop vac and sveral more beach towels. I go back to the drain plug and started to noticed the the drain area is clear. So I thought it was a fluke. Unpluged the washer for a few minutes and started another cycle. Once I realized the washer did not drain again, I was starting to get mad. I took the bottom panel off again and looked under the drum and realized I might new a new pump. Well I called my dad to run the issuse by him to see what he thought. About that time my son opened the washer no realizing I was working on it. I am really mad now. My dad stops by and helps clean up the water. He looks at the drum and realizes the rubber drain piece that comes off the drum twists when it is on the drain mode. So I pull the spring clamp off and put a stainless steel hose clamp (.89 cents) and lined up the black rubber drain piece the way it is suppose to on. It has been working great every since. Sometimes you need about 6 gallons of water to realize that it is always the simplest thing that stump you.

Washing machine making a clicking noise.

The problem most likely is something stuck in the water port of the drain pump. My machiine would not empty once and I found a 12 penny nail that had made its way from the drum though the drain line to the the pump, where it was wedged against the impellers that spins to draw out the water through the pump. The pump is located in the front right bottom of the machine and accessible by reoving the lower front panel, It is held in place by 4 small screws and is connected to the drain lines. Disconnect the plug for the outlet, then disconnect the power connection from the pump. Disconnect the drainlines after removing as much water possible from the drum as the water will come out of these liines when you remove them. Remove the pump, open the cover to see the impeller and hopefully the bobby pin, nail, screw, or whatever else is stuck there will be visible and easily removed. Put the pump cover back on, replace the drain lines and screws, and reconnect the power connection to the pump. Then do a better job checking your pockets.
