Hi there,This is quite likely the fact that your graphics card is not inserted correctly into your motherboard,You should power down your pc,And try and re-fit your video card,(or even try and use anotehr PCI slot if possible) and make sure that it is firmly positioned into the motherboard..
This should fix your issue, good luck

Unsupported pixel shader version detected.2.0 what does dis mean im having a graphic card Nvidia FX5200 what to do i want to play the game

Hi,
This message might mean that the game requires a pixel shader more than 2.0 as the graphic card you have, got pixel shader version 2.0. A pixel shader is a type of program often used with games which allows your card to perform per-pixel effects meaning more pixels per second which increases the quality of the game. In this case Devil May Cry 4 uses high graphics and therefore a higher version of shader. You might wanna upgrade your card to Nvidia 8600gt or more to get better performance.
Hope this is helpful
Best regards

Vedio card

Nvidia card
PCI-E (express)
For example:

Depends on what you want to do? do you play games? or just browse the internet? If you dont play any games or use any 3d programs, you will do fine with a cheap card nvidia 8400 for example

If you play games
8600GT or 9600GT OR NEWER.

Take one you can afford.

Want to know

Hi lokarpit,

I've got good news for you! Your Presario's motherboard only supports Supports PCI Express x16 graphics cards, and your GeForce 8600 GT is a PCI Express x16 graphics card.

However, I'm a bit concerned about the graphics card being 1gb? Both Nvidia's 8600GT and 8600GTS came out with only 256mb GDDR3 memory on them. Are you sure you have the right card?

But, if you have one with 1gb, the motherboard won't care, it's the graphics card that actually, will either work all 1gb, or only the 256mb if it's been changed.

Good Luck to you, and my answer is as long as it's a PCI Express X16 card, Yes, GO FOR IT!

Don't forget the leave a rating based on my solution.

8800gt black screen

Hi Juan016, you have done everything right. I'd say the 8800GT is bad & return it for a refund. Run the 8600GT & the NVIDIA 6100 at the same time. If you check the middle of page 9 in your manual. NOTE: It states; if a PCI-E is inserted the bios will automatically run the PCI-E card. (No need to make a bios setting change).
It also says if you change the setting in the bios to, OnChip and PCIe VGA, the motherboard should run both. Depending what amount of memory you set the NVIDIA to run with. Once in windows check the amount of total memory the NVIDIA or 8600GT reports.
Example: You set the NVIDIA to use 64MB & the 8600GT has 512MB than the NVIDIA or the 8600GT should show 576MB. Its not that uncommon one buys a bad video card.
Reading the manual & windows not seeing the 8800GT tells me the bios did not see the 8800GT card. The card is bad. You’re doing just fine.

Can asrock m266a support geforce 8600gt

Dear hiran89

Please see the specification of your motherboard at the following link of Asrock. It supports only up to AGP 4x.

http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=M266A

The 8600GT GPU does not come in AGP setups only PCI-Express. In general even if you were to have this card then the rest of your system would bottleneck the capabilities of the card.

My advice is to buy something more suited to the system you own such as a RADEON RX2600PRO, GEFORCE 7600GT,..but still these may be still more than the system deserves right now.

Saying this the most powerfull graphics card now in AGP are the ones below

GEFORCE 7900GS, 512MB DDR3
ATI HD 3850, 512MB GDDR3
